Towards the begining of the book the author clearly states that this is not a book about the private life of Klopp, but a truly factual sports book. The Defending analysis has been used to produce 14 sessions (53 practices) including functional practices, opposed/unopposed zone play, transition games, game situations and small sided games. This was a good read as I got to learn about Klopp's history, his time at Mainz as a player and coach.

Whilst not in his own words this book is an interesting insight into Klopp and gives you a good overview of his career prior to joining Liverpool.
