We were very lucky and got sent one earlier this week and Alice was the most excited I’ve ever seen her.

The eyes let you know how the HatchiBaby is feeling (see below) and your child is able to nurture the egg while it hatches.

But this Christmas there is a new Hatchimals in town – Hatchibabies – with two new EGGciting species to be hatched! For those that missed it we were only recently introduced to the Hatchimals but quickly fell in love with the cute little critters. My boys were very lucky this week because they were sent a brand new Hatchimals Hatchibaby to review.

You can even teach your HatchiBaby to take using “Yak Bak” where you hold both feet and they learn to repeat. The Hatchimals also now come in two different species – Ponette and Cheetree giving you different ones to collect should you wish to. It is very much like having a real baby where you play, burp, tickle and snuggle with your baby and it responds to you.When the egg started to do something new like rock or sing it made them gasp and they were so delighted with all the little things it did. I can see how this would be really exciting on Christmas Day waiting for your Hatchibaby to hatch, finding out if it’s a boy or girl and then learning how to look after it.

To let you know what it needs to hatch, the HatchiBaby's eyes (visible through the egg) change colour and make different noises, with the tips and tricks sheet giving you a clue as to what they mean and what your little one needs to do .
