Coming in as one of the lightest offerings in our lineup, the Foray MIPS registers at 312 g in size large, according to our measurements.

For those not familiar with the Roc Loc 5 system, it provides a lightweight, 'easy to adjust' support skeleton around the back of the head. Giro's chinstrap Y-buckles can easily be adjusted to be either lower down by the chin or higher up by the ears. Ok the helmet itself has excellent ventilation and a clever airflow system but for those riders who sweat a lot, the thin padding doesn't quite do enough to channel the sweat away from the face.Now in its fifth iteration it works really well and cradles the head comfortably and securely with plenty of adjustment. Utilising the MIPS® (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System), the Giro Foray MIPS Helmet features the Roc Loc 5 System with a two way adjustable fit. Just twist the dial for a tighter feel on rough terrain, then back it off a notch and relax across the flats or a warm climb. While this helmet doesn't include any fancy extras like built-in visors, rubber sunglass slots, or fancy shell materials, it looks and performs well for just a fraction of the cost. The Roc Loc 5 system is one of our preferred restraint systems when comparing to that of the competition. It is also very lightweight and has a slim profile, so it's hardly noticeable that you're even wearing it, which is this sign of an ideal helmet.Our testers find the Foray MIPS to be a comfortable helmet with adequate padding and easy adjustability for an optimum fit.
