I was excited because the main characters were introduced in the Fierce King/Queen duet and having that back story for them while reading this book was a major plus. It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother's coffin as the world watched in sorrow - and horror. It isn’t imperative and you will still get great enjoyment from reading this without it, however you will have a much better and clearer understanding of the family dynamic and the relationships between Jax, Lucia and Alejandro. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel and things that made me laugh out loud.

Very happy with the purchase, though being from World of Books this feedback only applies to the seller, not WoB as a whole. Very similar to Alejandro he has that darkly delicious streak that makes your insides melt like butter but there’s also a tenderness that makes you warm and fuzzy too. I really thought it would be hard to beat the Ryan brothers as far as Sadie's world goes, but I just LOVE Jax. This took daddy issues to a whole new level and it felt more of manipulative and actually more that he took advantage of this with how lustful he constantly is around her.Rating 2 stars for now because at this point that's how I feel, but will update the rating later if it changes. At first, Glennon assumed these words came to her from on high but soon she realised they had come to her from within. My life is in danger and I’m forced to leave LA with my young son, and it's Jackson who protects us both, taking us to the ranch where he was raised and facing the demons of his own past in the process. Story seemed complete so not sure what to expect in book 4, which is released at the end of this month.
