Someone else commented it smelled like dry sweat, I have to agree as both me and my wife get the same dry sweat vibes. I don't get synthetic vibes as others have mentioned, but i guess because of soft sweetness coming from the amber/vanilla it may come off as makeup-y. Unlike some fragrances that fade away quickly, this one stays with you throughout the day, leaving a trail of subtle elegance wherever you go. No, it smells okay, but it’s not to my taste… this smells like a slightly older guy, maybe in his 40’s? I don't like the opening, it's too sweet and headache indulging for me, but after 15 minutes becomes very pleasant and powdery.

Long lasting, and one to be wary of when applying, two sprays is plenty, a couple of times I've unconsciously over-sprayed before dashing out the door to the office and I was aware that I'd become "that cologne guy" for the morning! I feel it does need some high heat to perform though, so you can spray this deliberately and people won't choke on this.it is very catchy and i dont wear it everyday, only to special events because for me it is quite POSH ! The green apple and limonene add fresh air and moisture to the natural lavender oil, while the black pepper, coriander and labdanum add depth, soul.

take the LNDLH drydown, dissolve it in the spirits and add a boring synthetic sweet note into the top range, so you'll get F Black. From a distance it's the freshest fragrance you'll find anywhere, but when you get closer, you can detect the warm spiciness. I'd say it's worth giving a try considering how cheap it is and the fact it's not that bad for what it is. In conclusion all I can say is that this is a overly synthetic perfume, not much more complex than a shampoo or a deo, and for surely not worth the money since it's just a step below in terms of cost than much more interesting frags (YSL L'homme line for example).

I live in northern europe and I feel I could easily pull this off in the summer as well, even if this is usually regarded as a winter/fall fragrance. In creating F Black, I wonder if perfumer Olivier Polge consulted with father-dearest, Jacques, because to me F Black has a solid resemblance to OG Chanel Allure Homme. This creates an impression of a clean cut businessman an alpha male with gravitas who controls his surroundings.I don't wear it like I used to because my little girl apparently has an allergy to lavender scented things and snuggling with her is more important. I blind bought a one ounce bottle of this because it's super cheap and I am a fan of anything with a prominent lavender note and some dirtyness .

If you don't have soapy-powdery smelling fragrances in your collection already (like prada l'homme or YSL la nuit de l'homme), I think this would make a great addition! The composition opens with a fruity floral melange, matching the delicate, sweet smell of Lavender with crisp, zesty Apple. Talented perfumer Olivier Polge has captured the spirit of Ferragamo by creating a fragrance that embodies originality and sophistication. It has only moderate(so safe) projection and fades into subtlety after a couple of hours so this is not a powerhouse. It has a boozier quality, which draws comparisons to YSL's La Nuit, and I can swear there is a touch of lipstick note in Dior Homme (only better, this is not feminine).In fact I would say I get complimented on this just as much as I do wearing more expensive fragrances like Bleu de Chanel or ADP.
