About this deal

I consider it a combination of highly praised perfumes: Montblanc Individual, Armani Code and A*Men Pure Havane.

Albeit this fragrance, at least the content of this bottle, seems a little short in longevity (3-4 hrs) and most certainly in projection (skin-scent after 1 hour), it’s a rather rough ride while it lasts. I'm not sure there's actual tobacco here, though I do detect something like it lurking behind the patchouli-tonka. Bergamot and lavender opening provides the cherry-tobacco tone other reviews mention, but actually I don't detect anything here that really feels like that, although I'm not familiar with pipe tobacco. At the base you will get some spices, patchouli and a little bit of Tonka but I feel the pleasant tobacco stays with you all the way through.Bogart Pour Homme is a bargain, powerhouse scent from the well-respected yet in many ways under-appreciated house of Jacques Bogart. Bogart isn't a linear scent, but it works through the top and mid notes quickly enough for me to largely dismiss them. First seconds are confusing, but a couple of minutes later it turns into a nice mild sweet fragrance good for the office and other serious meetings. That dilutes itself in a strong cherry tobacco vibe and dries down with very pleasant notes of tonka and patchouli.

I told her all about it and she made a face and shrugged, as if to say “fine, it you WANT to smell like that…. As soon as I opened the box and sprayed it on my hand at work, my work colleagues came to me and gave me positive compliments and asked me about this perfume. It is noticeable indeed, and also lasts me a good six hours with no problems but either it has been reformulated since the seventies (most probably) or it has always been suitable for most occasions, as it seems restrained and never out of place. Guess what, one spray of Bogart pour homme puts Ganymede and Interlude Black Iris (YES, GANYMEDE AND FREAKING INTERLUDE BLACK IRIS) to a shame. For me, fragrance trends change and "granddad juice" is not the mood I want to set on date night or in the office. You won't like this if you are only into freshies/blues/gourmands, and you probably won't be able to appreciate this unless you are at least 40 years old.

Bogart (Signature) - for me, this is a soapy irish spring smell with the sweetness of an 80's aromatic fougere.Achieving that without actually putting any cherry and tobacco into this blend, makes it even more respectable. It starts out with synthetic, in-your-face lavender but dries down really well to be sweet, creamy, woody notes with remnants of tobacco (if you’re looking for it). I blew the old one on the other and the new one on the other, the smell of the old can be felt more firmly even after 3-4 hours, the new glass will completely fade by then. In the dry down, the smell doesn't change too much but in the base some floral and woodsy notes join the party but they are muted in the background.

Offering a fresh scent that is almost universally appealing, this Jacques Bogart men’s fragrance is a great choice for both everyday use and as a gift for special occasions. When I first picked up Bogart, I was expecting a soapy, birchy, woody, mossy leather green concoction.Still, I bet there are lots of things you readers have done before, and yet you still really love doing it. Top notes are Lavender and Bergamot; middle notes are Orange Blossom, Rose and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Tonka Bean, Patchouli, Cedar, Oakmoss and Musk.
