About this deal

This makes sense, considering the general public wasn’t interested in Bowie until the release of Ziggy Stardust and subsequent tour. Brett Morgen’s Moonage Daydream is perhaps one of the most immersive documentaries ever made on any musician. While this hasn’t stopped anyone from doing so (see 2020’s disaster Stardust), Bowie’s estate has done very well with sticking to the late singer’s wishes.

I am glad to have seen it but cannot imagine revisiting it regularly; I sincerely wish I had enjoyed it more than I did.

Rounding out the package is a live performance of “Rock ‘n Roll with Me” from 1974, a theatrical trailer, and a thoughtful essay by critic Jonathan Romney. It’s a fairly dry track, with little of the enthusiasm of the film coming through in Morgen’s voice, but it’s still an informative track for anyone interested in the nuts and bolts of the film’s making. Use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons to agree or disagree that the title is similar to Moonage Daydream. Add to that mix, the latest movie trailers, and you're pretty much all up to date - thanks to Darren's World of Entertainment! The native fluctuations that affect delineation, clarity, depth, and even stability are just as obvious in 1080p as they are in 4K.

There’s nothing remotely approaching the kind of home movie verisimilitude that “Imagine: John Lennon” offered. Bowie’s voice is frequently heard, often pulled from interview appearances and repurposed as a sort of narration, albeit one that is as much a performance as Ziggy Stardust. In these posts, you'll get the latest movie and DVD reviews, as well as the odd game thrown in for good measure too. Told through sublime, kaleidoscopic, never-before-seen footage, performances and music, Brett Morgen’s (The Kid Stays in the Picture, Cobain: Montage of Heck, Jane) feature length experiential cinematic odyssey explores David Bowie’s creative, musical and spiritual journey. And it's also fair to say its message of living every day as it comes as espoused by Bowie repeatedly throughout is one of a somewhat facile nature. coming through with distinct instrumentation and position, often filling the soundstage with heavier rock anthems and delicate acoustic moods. Brett Morgen's Moonage Daydream offers a most unusual glimpse into Bowie's strange world but I found it quite difficult to endure because of its intense ultra-modern visual style. I'm also very devoted to the CBS reality TV show Survivor, which I started watching in 2002 when its fourth season started.
