Located in the valley of Miyagi, a region in the North of Japan's Honshu island recognised for the purity of its air and the quality of its spring water, the Miyagikyo distillery produces a refined malt with signature fresh fruit and floral aromas.

The nose is some fresh fruit,banana, apricot and oaky, and it could be a little intensive only if you take a deep breath from it. The Miyagikyo distillery was built in 1969, in the heart of this natural environment, from which the whiskies draw their softness, elegance, and purity. The new single malt is said to be made with whiskies spanning various ages (hinting at the inclusion of older whiskies than the previous NAS release) with classic delicate, floral character and primarily ex-Sherry casks used for maturation. This Single Malt is unpeated, lightly fruity (orchard fruits) with a very delicate and subtle sherried character. On the palate, lemon and vanilla flavours come to the fore, followed by notes of fudge and marzipan.
