At Little Lunch we ate a BAD birthday pavlova, Atticus lost his glasses and we had a Disgusting Joke Competition by the bubblers. This book contains three shorts stories that are sure to have children laughing and snickering if read to them out loud or as a child is reading this to themselves. This book was received as an ARC from Candlewick Press - Candlewick Entertainment in exchange for an honest review. This book 100% reminded me a lot of Louis Sachar's Wayside School which was one of my favorite books of all time growing up so I knew right from the start that I would enjoy Little Lunch: Loads of Laughs and I most certainly did. We have all experienced strange food from our grandmothers, and not having the right clothes to dress up in.

Little stories, tiny stories, but to kids, these are great Shakespearian sagas packed into fifteen minutes of recess. The stories in this book, there are three of them, are the same stories as were on the show (which is on Netflix). One is about a boy whose grandmother, his yaya, keeps making Greek food that he refuses to eat, until he find out that it is actually good, and then he eats it. On my recent visit we sat together reading a bunch of books and this one I am reviewing as a promise when I was given by NetGalley.
