I sometimes hear people say that this smells generic, but to my nose theres something really different from other fresh florals and I can't quite put my finger on it. This is really a fragrance that in my opinion has earned its right to be invited into the true classics of perfumes. This beautiful and enchanting composition opens up with accords of delicate green lilac and aromatic Sicilian lemon leaves which slowly lead to the heart of the fragrance, made of lush wisteria blossom, revitalizing white tea leaves, peach blossom and sensual peony. But when the fragrance is sprayed on the skin, it is undeniable that the perfumer chose the notes of this composition very well. I had sky high expectations and I opened the bottle with trembling hands, and when I inhaled this scent I knew it crystal clear, This Is The One!It's mostly linear, except for a slightly powdery dry down and the slightest, most subtle spice ever. Composed of peony, peach blossom, tea leaf, green lilac, amber, musk, Chinese osmanthus, petit grain, wisteria, and cedar. I think it's probably the wisteria note, or it might be the lilac, but I have been absolutely obsessed with this perfume for the last two years. Today, almost a decade later and two beautiful children richer, I'm still madly inlove with both, my beloved husband and my amazing Eclat d'Arpege! In terms of innovation, anyone who has ever felt fragrances with a beautiful note of the lilac flower, will not be surprised.

I read the mixed reviews and was not expecting much, so I was surprised when this turned out to be a perfect summer fragrance. Cedar and White Musk kindle at the base, a burning flame that sets the scent alight with a subtle yet sensual touch. My nose can't fully distinguish between notes just yet, but my god, something about this scent is intoxicating. Opening notes in this one is green lilac with the lemon leaves while the heart is peach blossom, red peonies, Chinese Osmanthus, wisteria and the green tea. It doesn't get powdery, but the impression I have is that if it matured for a few more hours, we would have a much more powdery base.I can see how it would be overpowering at first but this is one you should sit with for a while to really appreciate the more delicate layers. The scent reminds me of EA's Green Tea and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet; which are both light, green and floral fresh. It’s sort of boring, I don’t smell too much on the opening , it seems to dry down to a pleasant but lackluster vanilla without much floral. The first time I smelt this 10 over years ago, I immediately thought this is what female angels smell like. On my skin I smell sweet lilac, dewy tea leaf, and lots of juicy apricot- maybe it's the peach blossom? The tea note in this scent is reminiscent of an Elizabeth Arden fragrance with a soft floral touch, which I do not mind at all.I just love when I catch a lingering of the perfume on my skin the next day when I wake up - it is just the best! I love lilacs, they are one of my fav flowers and this scent I feel captures it essence well without it being fake or too overpowering. Fragrance decants offer a great way to try out niche and luxury perfumes without breaking the bank on a full-sized bottle. I don't know if the formulation changed but 1) I don't enjoy this scent at all (I'm not sure what it's trying to do) and 2) the sillage and longevity is barely there. Focus on pulse points (neck, wrists etc) and/or spray generously in front of you and walk through for a full coverage.
