I personally wouldn’t wear it to special occasions but would definitely recommend it as a daily work/office fragrance. Very deep and woody scent that smells very classy for wearing with something like a suit, smells quite unique and very masculine. The only depiction comes to my mind is a cold gin-tonic with tons of lemongrass, rosemary, juniper and some hot pepper.

It all begins with the camphorous shrubbery of rosemary and the heavily devoted fir, whose needles sprinkled with an orange tang, are enlightened by a juniper pepper twist and a zen-like ginger bow, that together graze terrestrial wetlands ordained by sweet green balsamic resins. The green feels almost too deep and rounded to me; I wish it had a bit more sharpness/freshness to balance it out. As i said, not very unique actually, it does remind me a lot of the original Cool Water from Davidoff and Green Irish Tweed- Creed. It is a nice fragrance, nothong groundbreakig, a rather sweet lime if that is possible in the opening(few minutes then is very discrete), nice warm-sweety coriander AND few nother notes (not listed imho) plus that ambroxan becoming more and more obvious as the rest of ingredients fade away.For me, L'eau Bleue evokes the basic structure of Acqua di Gio blended with a bright and hot rosemary with just a hint of that dour cypress from Encre Noir.

The often claimed 'Italiansess' of this perfume becomes most evident here, and turning L'Eau Bleue into quite an enigma, which I thoroughly recommend experiencing.I have come to appreciate this one more over the last few weeks, as it's been kind of a dumb reach when I don't know what else to wear. It's missing the characteristic yuzu opening that the original has but it's not missed in this version. Very green aromatic, has a camphorated smell, like a "sterilized" feel, it can be a strange description but I find very well made and elegant.
