It's not for everyone but sometimes I wear fragrance to peeve others around me off while I get a confidence boost for the day. Now that I finally have them in my hands and on my skin, OH YES…hello again root beer and playdough…SOO nice to smell ya!

before using a parfums christian dior product, please read the list of ingredients located on the packaging to be certain that the ingredients are suitable for your personal use. When the vanilla starts to unfurl I am enveloped in clouds of waffles with vanilla ice cream and shaved toasted almonds. This review is for the EDT version in the brighter red bottle, unfortunately I cannot find a listing for that one so I am posting here. I would suggest testing it as it can have a bit of a chemical and synergic smell to it and can be nauseatingly sweet.I will be actively looking for a discounted bottle, not because it isn't worth the cost, but because it is definitely not a cheapie. I'd recommend the EDP only to people who want the Hypnotic Poison DNA from Dior, but want something that is more mature. I love wearing it the most during the nights, but sometimes, when I feel like being playful, I wear during the day, at air conditioned dates, in car rides with someone I like. It opens fruity, floral and a little in-your-faceish, but settles into a beautiful toasty sweet hedonistic marzipan, although it still smells like a perfume and not like something edible you could drink from the bottle.

This is feminine, but not to a point where I couldn't see myself wearing it like a lot of women perfumes. it's also quite overpowering so 1-2 sprays is enough, i did like 5 sprays one time and had car-sickness my entire journey lmao. All the variations of Poison make me imagine them being made by a good witch in her little cottage in the forest and put into little mini couldrons to be sold to people for different reasons. It has a plasticine lactonic nature that can be found in Blanche Bete combined with the clean musk from the discontinued Narciso white cube. if your hesitant or you felt the same as me, i really do recommend using one of the testers to spray this on your skin and then let it simmer for a day.I do get a "root beer" feel in the opening but luckily I do not smell anything that comes across "play-doh" esque. a lady sat next to me on the train and she smelt so beautiful i had to ask her what she was wearing, when she said hypnotic poison i was so excited to try it bc i’d been a poison girl for years when i was a bit younger.

Eh, if La Petite Robe Noir didn't have the cherry note (I feel the urge to add - and if it was a good perfume, pardon moi), they could be cousins or even half-siblings. the sillage is great, and the longevity is insane for it being an EDT -- although dior always knocks it out of the park with EDTs.I feel like this could have been inspired by a sweet liqueur such as amaretto, though I don't get the almonds strongly, mainly the vanilla and jasmine.
