About this deal

Ripping songs such as early single "The Steeple" and the album's title track—tracks from the original release, showcase Lzzy's gutting vocals and precise, powerful guitar work. I’m all for Atmos mixes when done with intent, but I certainly don’t believe it should be done for the sake of ticking a box. It’s as if the album was recorded for stereo and then mixed to the surround format as an afterthought.

With Strange Girl, you’ll be met with a wall of sound but that’s far from a bad thing, especially for this style of music. Halestorm's 2022 release, their fifth studio album Back From The Dead, is a triumphant album that is not only on par with their prior records, but in many respects trumps all that has come before. The album was preceded by its title track, "Back from the Dead", which was released as a single in August 2021, [3] followed by "The Steeple" in February 2022.Subsequently, I’d suggest that Psycho Crazy is a little overproduced in that it is trying too hard and should have fewer musical elements, thereby allowing for a cleaner recording and overall presentation of an otherwise solid tune. That's apparent on "Terrible Things", a haunting ballad with Lzzy begging, "And there's a hole in my life / There's a blackness inside that's eating me alive / Leaving me to decide / Do I live with this pain? Hale has also shared that the song "Strange Girl" was intended to be an anthem for a teenage girl who had come out to her parents immediately before COVID. According to Ed Ford of Rock N' Load, "If people wanted to know what the perfect rock album sounds like, give this a blast, you won’t hear much better. Hale’s incredible vocal is the magical element that ensures Wicked Ways is a highlight of the album. Halestorm began working on their fifth studio album slightly before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Meanwhile, while HALESTORM aren't known as a band that uses a lot of expletives, that's not the case on "Heavy MeNtal (F**k Yeah)" , which drops quite a few f-bombs.Alter Bridge, Halestorm, Neck Deep, Bob Vylan, Hot Milk, Palaye Royale, Jinjer and more join this year’s Download Festival.
