This would have been amazing if fucking Becca (yes that's her official name now fight me) hadn't spent 80% of the book EIGHTY FUCKING PERCENT mooning over her dickbag boyfriend.

It was well written and the characters were likable even tho Becca could be really frustrating at times and Ryan had his problems too. Becca decided years ago that he wasn’t worth her time and nothing, NOTHING, is going to change her mind.He might have been pissed when she went off to a different college, but they make the long distance work because they're "Becca and Ryan", and nothing is going to break them.

While the suburbs might conjure and convey certain attitudes, in this day and age, it shouldn’t be assumed that those attitudes always belong to white, thin, attractive, able-bodied white people. There are more reasons I really hated BECCA but it's exhausting me right now to relive her general clueless/problematic ass. She doesn't care that their moms are close and therefore she hears more about him than she'd ever care to know.

This book is about Becca who had an falling out with her childhood friend and ever since that falling out they've become enemies! She's a know it all, and more stubborn than a mule, so of course in her eyes she's right about everything. Which clearly made him upset… Becca was the ONLY one not to understand why Ryan was so cruel to her… but I felt like he could’ve done it differently… but clearly he couldn’t because she literally ignored him and acted like he didn’t exist… which led them both arguing with one another. Heartbroken Becca decided that she's better off without him anyway and that's when she starts to hate him and he starts to be the bane of her existence.
