Anyway, since I'm in no hurry to start battling with this box, I'm gonna stall some and show y'all what the back of it looks like. Up close the paint on Mika's mouth looks a little grainy, but in real life it reminds me a little of the paint on a ball-jointed doll's mouth. There are five six of these dolls as of writing, each one with a mystery face and a mystery outfit, and for once I jumped on the bandwagon and picked the most popular doll of the bunch.

TLDR: In my opinion, FailFix failed because of the bad packaging and trying to compete with MGA and Mattel.
Because of the surprise element, I probably should have waited and published this as a Sunday Surprise post, but I got impatient. You could keep the different outfits and the hidden makeup, but the crunchy gel encrusted hair is not a gimmick that's particularly enjoyable and results in a product that needs work to get to look its best. I‘ve never heard of those dolls but they made me laugh so much and I looooove your Alyssa, she has such an adorable face and I love the make up and even her wonky eyes :) She‘s adorbs (haha and now the tricky part follows to get her with the day make up, wish me luck ;)). Lots of dolls have that hand position, because in the olden days, that's how young ladies of the kind that took deportment classes, were taught to have their hands.
I wish there weren't two blondes but at least they're different shades of blonde and for once, there's no blue eyes. It took a LOT of brushing to get all the stiff gel out, but it was very satisfying and now that her hair is brushed out, she looks fabulous and photo-ready. Other than that minor gripe, I loved that the dolls are a diverse mix with unique personalities and styles, a good size and are fully possible making play time really fun. I'm left with a lot of plastic tat including the very large bubbles of plastic that go over the doll's faces and behind their heads which are really way bigger than they needed to be. weird to me that her shoes are tangled in her hair, would have preferred something like LOL does, with the shoes and dress in their own little package so it feels like more of a reveal/surprise. They're a nice size, their hair is pretty soft and pleasant to my touch, their eyes follow you so they photograph awesome as they're always looking at the camera and they have so much personality in their little faces because they all have different looks.
The Epic Colour 'n' Style Makeover Pack includes 25+ pieces including a Styling Chair that transforms into a Doll Display Stand! Her thumb isn't spread wide like Skyler's is, so (spoiler alert) dressing and undressing her is fairly simple. I also really like the hair on these dolls, especially Jenny with her lovely micro braids and Alyssa with her beautiful shade of strawberry blonde.
