About this deal
I did find them reasonable for positional gaming, and they do not feel overly cramped - but they definitely are not airy or expansive either. The headphones differ to a much greater degree in their design, materials, and craftsmanship than their audio fidelity.
I prefer single sided cables for one reason, it's another easy way to tell which side is which in the dark. The Valhalla powered all headphones without a hitch, I am just nitpicking here to rank them in hopes this will be informative.
Ein höherer Dämpfungsfaktor (höhere Differenz zwischen der niedrigen Ausgangsimpedanz des Verstärkers und der hohen Lastimpedanz des Kopfhörers) führt zu einem kontrollierten Klang. I use the foobar2000 player with EQ off playing various files from FLAC to m4a to mp3 (VBR/CBR 320). I will mention the Schiit Vali does an excellent job of bolstering the bass a little bit more, and a Dac, even a cheap one like the Berhinger UAC 202 would give you a touch more detail too as well as smooth out the top end a little. If you need headphones for mobile DAW work and you don’t want to carry an audio interface around, this will not be your best option. Pressure on the top of the head is very well spread out, no spaces on the top of the head can be seen with them on.
They are extremely comfortable, which is a must for every producer/engineer who needs long hours mixing/monitoring. I've had my DT 880 for several years and it still is very bright and would be more bright if I removed the 1 ply of toilet paper. The DT 880 PRO is a set of semi-open over-ear headphones, with a matte chrome finish on the back, and a matte black finish on the metal ear forks and band. Velour ear pads are included for mixing and mastering use, and leatherette ear pads are included for monitoring applications. As the DT 880 Pro's are the only (Semi-)open headphones in my test, it might not have been a very fair comparison. All in all, the 880 Pro's might not be great for tracking (too much leakage) but for monitoring/mixing and just rediscovering your music collection, they're great.
