About this deal

Honestly, my only issue was that the dialogue was a bit stiff at times, but the romance more than made up for it. For them it was a pure system of platonic help, without sexual implications, which, unfortunately for outsiders, was not read in the same way - Skylar is 18, Jude 34. it’s fitting because she does just that—she glows and she glimmers—shimmers so bright she puts the sun to shame. It’s no secret that it has a happy ending, but it was such a rollercoaster getting there, pretty much just like Lucky and Skylar’s relationship. Every time I’m with her I get this feeling of indescribable contentment that I can’t even wrap my head around.

But there is a passion and beautiful love that blossoms that is naturally building and both Judge and Skylar are willing to take the risk on these intense feelings.

it made me fall impossibly more in love with love and i loved every single ever-loving moment of it. Don't Kiss The Bride is the first book by Carian Cole i've read, and i'm sure it won't be the last one. While unconventional, their love and care for each other felt like such a natural progression of their entire relationship. And considering the heroine here is 18, I knew that I wouldn't have to worry about that because this author just manages to hit the mark every time. Because here I am, eighteen years-old, still in high school, and married to a man I was never supposed to fall in love with.

Once again she delves In a story that's firmly ensconced in her comfort zone, Drowning the readers in a sea of pain and tears in this book. But this book just kept on repeating this word over and over that I could not focus on the romance because I'm constantly made aware of how “it's not grooming because blah, blah, blah”. We had a lot in common—like our love of rock music and vintage cars, and a mutual anti-marriage stance after coming from broken homes. There was no attraction there yet because of their age gap, which is why I loved their friendship so much.A fake marriage to an older man she barely know causes Skyler to demand one rule in their agreement - no kissing the bride at the ceremony. There was once a time I spent so many nights at that motel I’m surprised my name’s not on one of the doors instead of a number. Siiigh if such men only existed, anyhow this is a great book, loved it down to the marrow of my bones. Theirs was one of the most satisfying slow burns I've read in a while and I can't recommend it enough. We had a lot in common - like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars and our aversion to relationships.

Jude and Skylar’s journey was different and unique, and I was very happy when they managed to reach their hea with a sweet and beautiful epilogue. I read Carian's other book with the age gap similar to this book (18 and 34) and I wasn't a huge fan of that one, so I was worried with this one. There are some great goodies that are available to us this week and I am so excited for some of these and to pick some of them up here.
