About this deal

While others say is smells like sea water and stinky fish, I find this to be a very deep and enjoyful scent. I will continue to use this perfume till i can co tinue to afford one and hopefully the don't dis-continue it. This is a wonderful dark fragrance in general and great for evening or day wear in Summer or Winter. A stone that is dark in shade and aquamarine in color, whose curved shape was given over the years of weathering by the ocean. Every time I wear Bvlgari AQVA pour homme, I can't help but keep sniffing myself because it's that good.

The jeweller-perfumer crafts the gems of nature, travelling all continents, inspired by the world’s diversity, to provide unique perfumes, created by the most coveted gallery of master perfumers in the world. Aqua Marine Toniq removes the dank damp cardboard and replaces it with what feels like a less dark sweet wood and sprinkle of cinnamon giving it also a larger body that lasts longer. A stunning 'blue' fragrance, the first layer is truly fresh and cooling, with a concentrated scent of ripe citrus. It starts off in such a lovely and refreshing way, and after a while it changes to a very unusual scent that in my opinion simply symbolizes sophistication and elegance and in the end it is signed with a mild sweet floral scent that just leaves behind a mesmerizing and so amazing aroma. After a while, the lavender continues and woody notes play more of a role, and the green element backs away a bit but remains detectable. I agree that this 'was' a fantastic fragrance, one of the best and most unique marine -like perfumes of all time, however newer batches are not the same, far from it in my opinion.

Support the cause, don't be the problem because after all they will ultimately end and it would be a waste of time and money. The fruits are overripe, the florals are starting to turn brown, the seaweed covered woods have been carved out by ocean waves and baked to perfection in the sun. I think it's safe to say that it is also the most masculine of the Aqva series with Amara coming in second. But then, as much as I digged the OG, started to understand the Marine, being a fresher version of the OG; after smelling both, I guess I learned to appreciate the Marine. All other notes in this fragrance are supporting notes, they add some floral, aromatic, and green touches but not the point to become featured accords. You can smell the salt air, the seaweed, the sand, and you can almost hear the seagulls overhead (I do miss living on the ocean). Longevity of this fragrance is quite good for a marine composition at the usual 9-5 working day, with a well-balanced progression into the close-to-the-vest drydown; sillage is well-behaved but present, certainly for the first few hours. Midway into the drydown, I really appreciate the way that a very clean, dry, soil-like patchouli note helps to ground the melon-like calone, stopping it from seeming overly artificial, a pitfall of many aquatic compositions. I see a lot of sensitive noses disliking the seaweed note and trying to make this out to be a harsh scent, it's not.

But now I like this, and can say that it's exactly what it's supposed to be: a fragrance for men that smells like the ocean.I liked the initial blast and it certainly had a more gulf coast vibe rather then a tropical vibe, it was deeper and more rich.

I've spent the last ten years trying to find a scent that is clean, aquatic, sophisticated and without musk, too much sweetness or flora. The most aquatic of all the aquatic fragrances (that I tried), it conjures an image of green water, so the bottle is 100% consistent with the smell.

The orange topnotes burn off quite quickly, leaving a very well-balanced lavender and a bit of sweaty complexity with that cottonflower note (again, this is very civilized, not at all beastly). It was designed by perfumer Jacques Cavallier who attempted to evoke the feeling of the natural freshness and power of the ocean. alcohol denat, aqua, parfum, propylene glycol, BHT, butylphenol sulfonate, tributyl citrate, benzyl salicylate, citral, citronellol, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, isoeugenol, butylphenyl methylpropional, limonene, linalool, hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene-carboxaldehyde, alpha-isomethyl ionone. This smells great at the first spray, clean and fresh, but after a while the salty and fishy smell start to emerge, salty plus fishy, well, some might said this is the scent of the ocean, but it makes the impression of the sweaty man who works in the fish market to me. Good for daily wear if you love aquatic note(and live in hot climate zone like me) But i've heard many can't tolerate its saltiness.
