There was a documentary about a 6 year old girl who was a psychopath and they did an interview with her and i thought this can’t be right, she sounds really clever, and says things i don’t think i knew when i was 6.I have books that I have finished reading instead of listening too because the story was fantastic, but I could not stand the narrators' voice to get through the first chapter. Add the father--who embodies most white/upper-middle class/successful male clichés like "overworked man," "breadwinner," "dotes on his daughter," "ignores problems in the family," "dismisses his wife," etc. The POV characters in Baby Teeth are Suzette and Hanna Jensen, a young mother and her seven-year-old daughter, whose narratives alternate to tell one story. Nervous about what the doctor would say — how he might criticize her — she patted a jumpy rhythm on Hanna's arm.She used to dress up for Alex’s office parties and loved the way his lustful eyes followed her around as she sipped wine and chatted, enjoying the rare company of other adults. It's a pretty interesting tale and I honestly enjoyed the family dynamics but the ending was lack luster making me feel as if nothing was really accomplished.
