The opening was A LOT fresher than I had anticipated, and that actually hangs around for a decent amount of time. I would say it's a versatile fragrance, leaning more towards evening/going out intimate sort of fragrance. The woods, herbs and spices add a lot of complexity and versatility, who needs flankers when one scent covers this many bases? And as always the aldehydes is extremly prominant with perfumes like these, they smell so frosty and like a gust of winter wind.

Its not LOUD, but it LASTS and the dry down is delicious on my skin, its a seductive, intimate scent, and I really get noticed when I wear it. It smells buttery, spicy and sweet to me, maybe a subtle boozy accord, like a cocktail made with bourbon and root beer (smells much better than it tastes, believe me).Again to me I aways just thought of ambery orange vanilla big league chew in a leather pouch that is mostly just fresh powerded left overs. Unlike the original, Armani Code Parfum is revitalized with a youthful perimeter that will serve you on more occasions while still being elegant enough for a date or formal event.
