A combination of citrus and wood for a cologne that strikes the perfect harmony of sophistication and seduction - a favourite in men’s fragrance. I'm not one to harp on about reformulations, but this has been the worst casuality of any I have used. Because of how close this is to the skin, it's suitable for wearing any time of the day in my opinion. i want to compare it to Dior Homme Intense (DHI) because i think there's a little similarities and both of them are iris fragrances, this is more of a fresh greeny herbal iris not like DHI so it will be more versatile i still think you can pull this anywhere everywhere. It has an interesting slightly citrus like dry down which I'm not that crazy about but it makes it stand out when it settles on your skin or clothes.

The scent is soft and fresh the way freshly cleaned linen is, with a touch of sweetness, a delicate greenness from the sage and bergamot leaf, and a lot of sweet and powdery wood in the dry down. The Code flankers came later, so with that girlfriend long gone it was time to try the Code line again. Another association I got is Lacoste Essential, although Essential is way lighter, more peppery than bitter, and doesn't have that warm dry part.The year was 2008, I had just started a corporate job in a new country, and while exploring the city, I came across this gem and thought to myself at the time that I must have just discovered the best perfume in the world, so I immediately bought it. This Parfum version though is in my top 5 scents right now, a solid 9/10 for me, highly recommended. This is fairly powdery, so please be aware you probably need to be a big fan of powder to like this.

But I dare say that, when it comes to men's fragrances, it seems that was always missing something, at least until the year 2004.Besides being an above average dumb reach fragrance, it is also a good choice for mid-season elegant and formal occasions or for a meal with friends in a restaurant.
