About this deal

Thank you for Nice review to explain things in such great detail in a way that is easy to understand. Admittedly, that little marvel from Miyazaki covers the full 35mm image circle while this is exclusively an APS-C lens.

Unfortunately, it’s only designed to be used on aps-c cameras, as such, that specification is a little less exciting than it would be if it was a full frame lens. In conclusion, these lenses are so close in both build quality and image quality that in day-to-day use you will notice no difference between the two. is a odd lens, but to be fair to it I think some of this comes from the fact that it’s also a very small lens – especially for its specification.

f8 you could get some usable IQ but again I would not rely on this lens but rather on something a bit better. That little word that will have all aspiring photographers and seasoned pros going into full drool-mode any day of the week! Some good news they stopped down to f/4 and the lenses reasonably sharp from corner to corner without needing to refocus. II – but nailing focus wide open was do difficult and it’s so massive that I ended up giving it back. Compromises have to be made when scaling down, so for someone who wants rock-solid performance and is willing to spend a bit more money on a bigger lens, you might want the Mitakon 35mm f0.

With the 7artisans a raw file will tend to be less contrasty compared to a modern Fujinon, but also very well balanced in colorcast. For full product description, please read the Insurance Product Information Document (IPID) and policy terms by following the links provided. Like the 55mm, this lens feels to me a little like a “vintage” lens reimagined with modern coatings.

Using this lens was an entirely new photographic experience for me - at least it feels that way, in the age of “auto-everything”. A Leica M lens of this size and this aperture (the 35mm Summilux) sells for around for a minimum of USD5400 and so obviously there were compromises made in the construction of the 7Artisans 35/1. is poor at close distances, that is true but the fact is once you step back further from the subject, be prepared to see all the details coming in and this lens can produce excellent details too. The minimum focusing distance is only 28 centimeters, and the maximum zoom ratio is small, approximately 1:6.

The hood does add a significant bulk to it, but hey, we all sacrifice something to be prettier right? The lens is a beautifully crafted chunk of metal and glass that feels great in the hand and on the camera. It has an all metal construction, and you can definitely feel that there is a lot of glass in this lens. Dear 7Artisans, just make a lens cap that stays on the camera, isn’t made of metal, and doesn’t scratch the lens.

It comes with a slip-on lens cap which I really like it sticks on satisfyingly and the filter thread is a very small 43 millimeters in diameter. But I have to say again that the flaring that this lens produces is absolutely stunning and can be used to great effect.
