CHARACTERISTICS: it is a grape with golden yellow berries and sweet pulp. It is a robust vine that grows beautifully on hills exposed to the sun. It produces abundant fruits that ripen between September and October. It gives a straw yellow-colored wine with an intense, pleasant aroma. The cluster is medium to large, conical, pyramidal, winged, loose. Garganega, Trebbianello, Bianca Fernanda, Malvasia Toscana, Riesling Italico, Sauvignon, Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, and Cross Manzoni are some of the white-fruit grapes planted in the Custoza region. Ancient Greek vines known as Garganega were brought to Sicily and given the name Grecanico d'Or. It can produce dry, sweet, still, and sparkling wines and is quite adaptable to various soil types and winemaking processes. A vine called Trebbianello, also referred to as Tocai Friulano or Tocai Italico, proclaims at least two centuries of Italian heritage. Although the exact origin of the Cortese vine, also known as Bianca Fernanda in the Custoza region, is unknown, it is thought to have originated in the provinces of Alessandria, Novara, and Tortonese. But according to Vinography, it wasn’t until the late 1700s, that the wine was identified with the name Custoza. A white with a deep lemon yellow appearance, and a touch of honey on the nose, suggesting a wine with some maturity. There’s also peach and orange blossom, while the palate has some notes of toast, like aged Semillon, then a touch of bitter almond and citrus, beeswax and orange zest. Texturally, this is light in body and alcohol but with lots of flavour and freshness, and has a persistent finish with a fine coating of dry tannin, giving a stone-like character too.

Intense on the nose, with floral notes (rose, jasmine, linden) and spiced with saffron. Complex yet well-paced on the palate. It has flavour, softness and makes for a pleasant and memorable drink.Vineyards: The vineyards are located between 100 and 140 meters above sea level and they are south facing. The vine is trained in a single guyot. The morenic soil is a mix between limestone, clay and a small presence of gravel. Lemon yellow, with ripe aromatics comprising peach and honey. CHARACTERISTICS: it presents itself to the eye as a beautiful golden yellow, with greenish reflections. It is fine on the nose, with unmistakable aromas of fruit. It is soft and round on the palate, and the disciplinary allows it from 10 to 45 percent. The bunch is medium, truncated pyramidal, with one or two wings, medium compact. The Custoza happily combines both modern and traditional cuisine.
