Her "villains," when they exist (moreso in the novels than in the novellas) are easy to spot and are a bit over the top in their villainy, especially in these worlds that are otherwise pretty grounded in reality. These are all based on the same romance trope (enemies to lovers) so do be aware if you like to mix things up. Helena's gift was as generous as it was unexpected, easily the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me. i stand by the fact that you could take any line from any single dialogue from any of ali hazelwood's books and it would be difficult to say which book it was from.

I am looking forward to catching up with her other two novels to read more about the science and the friendship and just something with more plotlines. This miscommunication is heaviest here and I wanted to shake Sadie a few times but the chemistry between these two is HAWT.To one degree or another, all of her works up to this point (both novels and all three novellas) feature over-the-top communication problems.

I enjoyed all three, but couldn't help laughing at the jabs that Mara and Liam made towards each other when trying to push the other out of the house. Mara, Sadie, and Hannah are friends first, scientists always and they can all agree on this universal truth: when it comes to love and science, opposites attract and rivals make you burn.

So 3 months later I was the proud owner of all 3 audiobooks and they got me into listening to audio books not just for chilling before bed but to enjoy and listen to. I think as long as you don’t go into these expecting masterpieces you’ll really enjoy them 😍 I think overall novella 1 was my fave.
