About this deal

Supa-Peg’s NEW galvanized steel screw pegs are your ideal replacement for standard pegs where the ground is to hard. Measuring 220mm in length, they can penetrate deep into the ground for the ultimate ground holding capability. A handy 13mm hex head is located at the top so you can use a standard cordless drill for setup. Just loop the guy rope around plastic top to secure your tent. I just use a lump hammer and brute force. I still have a few "screw in" pegs that haven't already bent, and use them as plain pegs. At last you can securely anchor your awning leg vertically when detached from the side of your Caravan/Motorhome. I carry a rechargeable SDS drill with an 8mm masonry bit for the really tough hard standings. Useful to wind the pegs out afterwards and spin the steadies up and down.

The Aldi pegs are very good but you do need to remove the plastic T and open up the holes so the T spins freely. If the ground is hard, drill the Ground Dog screw in peg as far as possible, and then wind the Hook Collar down to the ground level to hold the peg securely After a life in heavy engineering it used to be that, if it won't go with a big hammer get a bigger hammer. I have seen some that are threaded but you still hammer them in and then give them half a turn to loosen them to remove.
