About this deal

So when I was given the chance to review the NEW CBeebies cd with Squeaky's help, I was glad of the chance for a change of music.

As he already enjoys dancing and singing along to songs on CBeebies I was looking forward to getting the new CBeebies album to see if he would enjoy listening to an album filled with songs from the popular children’s TV channel. This DVD is the best DVD ever you could purchase for your children for home and long journeys in the car. I am very fond of CBeebies so I was mostly happy with this product, only some of the song selections let it down. We bought the previous one a couple of years ago, only it's living in Daddy's car, so I don't get to listen to it. I have never realised just how many CBeebies songs and tunes I know until we listened to a newly released CD " CBeebies The Album" (and if you are a fan of CBeebies, today, 5th of November 2012, is the day when you can get your own album).The only downside I can think of is that the game's theme is really secondary to the gameplay/mechanisms. More Hamburger icon An icon used to represent a menu that can be toggled by interacting with this icon. After a few more plays of the CD she was able to understand the difference between the music on CD and the television. She was a tad confused as to why she couldn't immediately watch all the shows she liked when she heard the music, but to some extent that's understandable as she'd only previously related the songs to the programme being on television right then.

In fact, it’s got pretty much every current Cbeebies character’s song, so you too can dance around the room in a crazy manner to the Yacki song from Baby Jake. I'm a childminder and its even a hit with the children I look after to put on in the play room when they are playing, or to play musical instruments along to it. Alas, it looks like they couldn’t get the ‘Roll up your sleeves’ song from ‘I Can Cook’ (which would have been the best thing ever) but a big huge hurrah, as this new compilation – released today – has the Cbeebies presenters songs included for the first time – something these compilations have been missing for a while. They are lovely songs, but if you have to listen to them several dozen times a day, then you start to wish you were elsewhere.I have noticed that he seems to be aware of the different styles of music as he dances differently to the songs and he repeats the same style of dancing for particular songs; for example for The Yacki Song he dances like Baby Jake does on the show whilst when listening to songs from Rastamouse he always bops along to the music and does a laid back dance rather than a mad, wild dance. They slightly seemed like filler tracks, but given there's 50 tracks in all, a couple of less familiar songs is to be expected. This CD is bang up to date and can turn my grizzly child in to a smiley, clappy, one on a car journey. If you're like me then it will be one that you don't quite know all the words to, but yet you still can't get it out of your head for the rest of the day.
