The first-generation 12.9-inch Magic Keyboard released in 2020 is compatible with 2018 and 2020 ‌iPad Pro‌ models. It is not compatible with 2021 ‌iPad Pro‌ models.There's a USB-C port on the Magic Keyboard that allows for passthrough charging, leaving the USB-C port on the ‌iPad Pro‌ itself open for connecting to displays or accessories. I'm not saying the unique angling isn't a good idea. It's certainly one of the best ideas I've seen for a keyboard case. I'm just saying I think it suffers from being overly designed. The Magic Keyboard for the 11-inch model is unchanged and is compatible with both the 2020 and 2021 ‌iPad Pro‌ models, but that's not the case for the 12.9-inch ‌iPad Pro‌ models. The displays have rounded corners. When measured as a rectangle, the 12.9‑⁠inch iPad Pro screen is 12.9 inches diagonally, the 11‑⁠inch iPad Pro screen is 11 inches diagonally, the iPad Air and iPad (10th generation) screens are 10.86 inches diagonally and the iPad mini screen is 8.3 inches diagonally. Actual viewable area is less. It's also super comfortable to use while watching Netflix or any other similar streaming service. At night, I'd prop it up on my bed to catch up on shows. More often than not though, however, I'd unclip it from the case and use it as a full-on tablet. A couple of complaints The displays have rounded corners. The iPad Pro lasted six hours in comparison to the seven hours I was able to squeeze out of it when using the Folio case. Believe it or not, you can use most keyboards — including one you might have bought with a desktop computer — with an iPad.
