About this deal

I generally tend away from processed white sugar, however with this recipe - and most liqueurs - white sugar is the best way to go. unrefined, unprocessed sugars fail to yield as successful results. I added the syrup gradually and tasted it until I was satisfied with the outcome. I used about 600 ml of pomegranate syrup. Processing and additives. Bottled pomegranate juices may undergo processing methods that can diminish their nutritional value. They might also contain additives like preservatives, sweeteners, or artificial flavours.

For this recipe, you don’t so much ‘smash’ the fruit but rather use it as a garnish. So I guess the ‘smash’ could just refer to a mashup of flavors? A food mill can be used for crushing pomegranate seeds, but certainly isn't necessary.Similarly, a tube siphon can be used to fill the bottles, but I find it just as easy to carefully use a measuring cup or ladle. mix 1 to 1 with vodka (straight or flavored) for a simple pomegranate martini. A splash of fresh pomegranate (or cranberry) juice can add another level. The Belmont Jewel is a match made in heaven for whiskey and pomegranate. Its sweet taste balances any spiciness that comes from the alcohol while complementing its flavor nicely with some tartness provided by lemonade mix! Unlike the martini recipe above, this version calls for gin. So again, it will change slightly depending on which brand you like best. Sometimes it's not entirely successful and you need to pull apart the pods individually.
