Though I am aware I’m not discussing the book, but instead the video clip, I just think there is so much rich literature to be relished and learned by children. Once cool, enclose in plastic wrap and keep overnight for best results and finish it the following day.

He effortlessly cooks for thirty people without breaking a sweat, and everything he makes tastes delicious— including this cake. Rosen's use of sounds and noises will really bring to life the book and get children interested in reading.

Alongside this he performs, teaches, lectures, presents Word of Mouth on BBC Radio 4 and reviews books for the Guardian. He’s one of the best-loved figures in the children’s book world, renowned for his work as a poet, performer, broadcaster and educational campaigner. He was the Children’s Laureate from 2007-2009 and has published over 200 books for children and adults, including the recent bestseller Many Different Kinds of Love and On The Move. She went on and on about how some little girl’s Babushka made the cake for her to help her overcome her fear of thunder.

Then he ends up trying to sneakily get little bits of it and ends up eating the whole cake and gets in trouble the next morning with his mum. Daddy's favourite bit: I would love to see this catch on, I mean brilliant poems like this being given the picture book treatment (and there are SO MANY in Michael Rosen's back catalogue that would make a great fit). We loved this though, particularly Michael's crazed sugar lust ramblings and Kevin's glorious good-enough-to-eat choccy cake illustrations. And then, I notice on the side of the cake there’s some little crumbly bits just falling off, so I think, if I take a knife, I could just…tidy it up a little bit. For example, Rosen’s story telling is second to none, therefore this can be harnessed and used to develop children’s own story writing and storytelling.

Michael picking up crumbs can be used if he's seen typing something or pressing buttons (see 256Pi's Michael's Last Ice Cream to Me Every Dead Floor Roaring Downstairs, where this is used when Michael hijacks a train). Though you do have to melt some chocolate over a double boiler, which is a job for the parent, or at least one that involves close supervision.
