It can be awkward to carry the CITI600 with a large modifier about on location. But if you can be bothered, it is more than worth the effort. It is also entirely possible to light a scene with just the modeling light. You probably won’t want to do this for a portrait session, but for tabletop setups and the like, you can use the CITI600 as a continuous light and put even less strain on the battery. However, Godox learned from the AD200 and what they learned they applied to the Pro. On the AD200 Pro they improved the recycle time from 0.01-2.1s to 0.01 to 1.8s, as well as offering a greater choice of power ranges (1/256-1/1 in 1/10th stop increments instead of 1/128-1/1 in 8 stops). They also improved upon the design of the flash by adding a sunken LCD screen to the unit which protects the screen against damage in the case of being dropped or blown over.

Now, as a commercial photographer, I tended to stay away from IGBT lights for the more colour sensitive work, basically because the colour temperature would drift towards blue as the power was turned down. Some heads are worse than others, and if you mix IGBT heads with voltage-controlled (full flash curve) heads, you can see the colour difference, sometimes quite dramatically. With this in mind, the colour accuracy mode that featured quite heavily in the AD600 Pro launch was something that piqued my interest.
