About this deal

The entire concept of seeing the different types of love. Sita kept talking about the various forms of love and what it makes people do but it never actually added anything to her character. It was a writing style, I would say. It was annoying. The lands at the top are sometimes extremely unpleasant – for example, the Land of Dame Slap (altered to Dame Snap in revised editions), an aggressive school teacher; and sometimes fantastically enjoyable - notably the Land of Birthdays, the Land of Goodies, the Land of Take-What-You-Want, and the Land of Do-As-You-Please.

In 1997, stories from the novels were adapted into animated ten-minute episodes for the TV series Enid Blyton's Enchanted Lands. The series, entitled Enchanted Lands: The Magic of the Faraway Tree had 13 episodes: Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni promises to undo the injustice, promises to give voice to the voiceless and neglected females of the legend. Moon-Face is so named for his round face that looks like the moon. His house is similarly round and is filled with curved furniture. It is used as a means of exiting the tree and has played an important part in some of the adventures, where others have sought control of the tree or their rooms; Of course, the magical lands don't stay at the top of the tree for long, so you've got to know how to get home. In one story, when the children have rescued The Saucepan Man from a fortress, in the Land of Toys, they almost don't make it.

Can you imagine the noise he makes when he moves around? I've always been really adventurous, so I loved reading about the incredible things that happened in this book. It's a bit like dreaming, because there's loads of magical things that go on She senses god saying to her “ Ram has come to teach the men, but you have come to teach the women. We know of many versions of Ramayana from folk artists and from celebrated scholars, and each author has taken the liberty with their own take. I grew up watching Ramanand Sagar’s doordarshan version and recently had an opportunity to read Devdutt Pattnaik’s Sita and Amish’s Ram, Sita and Raavan series.
