I would be very grateful if someone could help me, especially in recommending which Humbrol paint to use.

The column Type indicates if it is available as acrylic (a) as well. RLM 02 - Humbrol 31, although 31 is a bit too light and could probably use a touch of yellow or maybe something like 94 Brown Yellow . But since I don’t know if the real surface was wood or another material, I don’t really have a choice. RLM 76 - 40% Humbrol 65 and 50% Humbrol 28 and 10% white. Mostbrands of 76 have far too much 'blue' in them. Under certain lighting conditions RLM 76 was very bland.. Can anyone suggest any Humbrol or Tamiya colours to approximate doped unbleached and bleached linen for German WWI aeroplanes? I tried humbrol 74 for the unbleached linen but it looks way too yellow? FWIW I building a Fokker Dr.1 and have a Pfalz E.1 in the queue. JohnAh, my mistake, I was thinking of Hu 141 for 02, it was an almost perfect match. I've not been able to get 91 from my LMS for a while and so made the wrong assumption it was no longer made. In the chart below, the annotation with colour name in red means that the corresponding paint number had been available in the traditional range of Humbrol enamels, but not in the Super Enamel range.

late war - defensive 'greens' 81/82/83, usually over 76, often incombination with some of the greys. Perhaps. But IMO if it's visible at all in 1/72, or without a magnifier in 1/48, it will look daft.
