About this deal

The Starborne get access to the Fangs of Sotek and Dracothonian’s Tail, both are battalions from the General’s Handbook given a rebirth. Dracothonians allow you to place units in deep strike. For each Starborne unit you place on the battlefield, a starborne unit can be placed in reserves, to be brought on the board at the end of your movement phase, within 18” of a Slann and more than 9” from the enemy. That said, if it reaches turn 4 and any are in reserve, they are slain, in line with modern deep strike units in Age of Sigmar. Fangs of Sotek are your expected Skink subfaction. They let you move your Skinks faster on the first turn, and the command ability allows them to shoot at the end of your opponent’s charge phase and then (potentially) run. If you’re a veteran Seraphon player you might be thinking “But what about Wary Fighters?” – we regret to inform you that this rule has been removed from the Warscroll, your Skinks are going to have to stand and fight (or shoot and potentially run with this new command ability) Perhaps a little less exciting than the Dracothonians but if you got all those Skinks and want to pretend it’s 2019 again you might want to opt for the Fangs of Sotek. The first Seraphon arrived in temple ships from the void and stayed in Azyr so long that they became part of the Realm of Heavens itself.

Tide of Serpents has the potential to perform a decent amount of damage: you roll as many dice as the value of the ability and for each 4-5 allocate 1 damage, for each 6 allocate 3 instead. This is one of the original Start Collecting boxes and pre-dates the new Battletome. The new Battletome makes the Gore-Gruntas batteline in an Ironjawz army or a Big Waagh!, so you can now add in other Orruk units without losing the battleline status of this box, maybe combine it with the Savage Orruks one. A solid start for one of the sneaky best armies in AoS. Some of the best casting in the game. While not on the level of the Disciples of Tzeentch, Seraphon have access to one of the most powerful wizard options in the game-The Slann Starmaster. They provide both a consistent casting base, and a powerful defensive base against magic being able to dispel up to three spells at infinite range with a +1 to the attempt. If you want to go even further the Seraphon’s only special character lord Kroak can cast and unbind 4 spells a turn!This set builds either five javelin-throwing Raptadon Hunters or lance-wielding Raptadon Chargers, two units who have natural synergy on the battlefield. Saurus Warriors Like with most modern models, the five models’ bodies are monopose. The instructions don’t highlight any interchangeable parts. But from what I’ve seen, you should be able to mix and match the heads and shields. The other stuff

There are a lot of different ways to play Seraphon, far too much to cover. You could go Monster heavy with Thunder Lizard and even Saurus can be dangerous in large numbers with Koatl’s Claw. We’re gonna focus on the old standby of Fangs of Sotek. It’s not as popular as it was but it hasnt fallen out of favor, the other two big constellations just got more popular. Allegiance: Seraphon - Constellation: Fangs of Sotek - Mortal Realm: Ghur - Grand Strategy: Prized Sorcery These are only tips to start. Find what works for you and lean in on it. Seraphon offer a lot of diverse playstyles and no two lists will be quite alike. List Building The Starseer can fly 4″, while the others can move 6″ but have access to the Skink common ability Nimble Retreat, that for a Double allows a bonus disengage. Really useful to run away from enemies getting too close for you to be comfortable. They are adept in skirmish and ambush tactics retreating after hitting to compensate with their fragile nature. Appearance-wise, this means that the basic Krox have slightly dopier, less bestial heads, while the Warspawned have longer and more crocodilian snouts meant to make them look like they mean business. There’s a couple of other build differences in there too, but it’s heads (and weapons) which make the definitive difference.Though armed with gleaming weaponry, Saurus tend to find their jaws are just as deadly an armament. Atlor-ke - Ku-Quar - Klaq-Tor - Maq'uat - Narok-Gar - Oxtl-Kor - Quar-Toc - Suqek - Sutok - Takatakk - Taktak'rillo - Xoat’ar - Starblood Stalkers ( Kixi-Taka - Klaq-Trok - Otapatl - Tok - Xepic - Huachi) Each allegiance gets access to 2 subfactions, for a total of 4. The make up of these is pretty standard at this point: A new allegiance ability and command ability in exchange for a mandatory command trait and artefact. All Seraphon are grouped in constellations, complex organizations ruled by Slann Starmasters and huge and intricate web of servants and guardians.
