About this deal

There are three operating modes to choose from –automatic, continuous, or sleep –and two fan speeds. Plus a storage mode and 24 hour timer. The Pro Breeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier with Special Laundry Mode can extract up to 20 litres of excess moisture from the air per day, making it perfect for larger spaces up to 35 square meters. Living in a Victorian terraced house, our home does suffer with damp and mould, and this dehumidifier extracted enough moisture from the air to fill the water tank in just four hours when I first powered it up.

Whilst this dehumidifier doesn't offer a specific laundry drying function, we still found it helpful at drying wet washing, although it took longer to do so than the MeacoDry Arete One Dehumidifier or Pro Breeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier with Special Laundry Mode which both offer a speedy dedicated laundry-drying boost mode. When operating the Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier, you can either leave it running continuously until you switch it off, or make the most of the built-in Automatic Humidity Sensor. This allows you to set your desired room humidity between 30%-80%, and once this level is reached the unit will turn off to conserve energy. The Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier is a popular choice thanks to its relatively low price point that makes it one of the best value compressor dehumidifiers you can buy. One thing I really like about the Pro Breeze 20L Premium is that it has a couple of different automatic modes so you don’t have to worry about manually choosing the right setting. However, if you opt for the MeacoDry Arete One 12L Dehumidifier you also get a built-in air purifier, larger 2.5L water tank, better laundry drying performance, quieter operation, and better energy efficiency. I was particularly eager to test out this clothes drying function as in our draughty Victorian terrace house, wet washing can often take days to dry. And as anyone in a cold house will be able to relate to, I'm always looking for ways to stop clothes smelling damp when drying them indoors .

The Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier doesn't have Wi-Fi or App connectivity, so there's no set-up required. Once the refrigerant has settled you can just plug it in and turn it on. Design

And although it can't quite compete with the MeacoDry Arete One 12L Dehumidifier on energy efficiency, it is still relatively energy efficient, especially compared to other compressor dehumidifiers in the Pro Breeze range.

For anyone who wants to reduce damp within the home, or has a lot of laundry to get dry indoors during the winter months, then I think the Pro Breeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier with Special Laundry Mode is a great choice. We've crunched the numbers for the biggest dehumidifier manufacturers, including DeLonghi, Ebac and Meaco, and have calculated a customer score for each, so you know which brands are recommended by owners.There are a couple of complaints, similar to mine, regarding its noise levels, stating that it’s not quiet even when on its lowest fan setting, and certainly not in night mode, or on a high fan speed setting.
