About this deal

BOSS created the RC-1 to compete against the incredibly popular Ditto Looper by TC Electronic ( read my review of the Ditto here). The Ditto Looper became popular thanks to the low price and easy-to-use features. There is also an undo/redo function, which works through the same footswitch. This is invaluable when you’re looping (unless you always play perfectly). For example, you can use it to fix mistakes when overdubbing without clearing the base loop and starting all over. You can also use it to add and subtract layers of complexity to your loops. This is useful, for example, when you want to add some variation between the verse and chorus of a song. The Loop Indicator You have a lot more control over your loops, the ability to store recorded loops on the pedal, and mix in rhythm patterns.

It’s also worth mentioning that this pedal doesn’t come with a power supply. Like most loopers, it’s relatively power-hungry and therefore won’t last long with a battery, so we highly recommend investing in a quality pedalboard power supply. Q. Being able to save up to 99 recordings on your pedal will be worth the extra price for most guitarists.The first thing to point out is that the RC-3 was released in 2011, so it is nine years older than the RC-5. The Automatic mode will begin recording as soon as you start playing. The Count-in mode gives you a bar of rhythm set at a tempo of your choice (using a tap tempo button) before it starts recording.

The original reviewer proposed that 12 minutes recording time without memory slots is a waste of precious capacity. After I toyed happily with this nice, simple but effective tool for a while, a lightbulb went off over my head. This is one looper, where you *never ever* have to worry if your loop will be long enough – everybody will be fast asleep by the time you get to the end. Since you want to concentrate on playing, that is worth something in itself.So in many ways, the RC-500 is a far better pedal. It also sells at a significantly lower retail price compared to the older RC-300. For most guitarists, this difference is big enough for you to immediately choose the RC-500. Number of footswitches: the number of footswitches plays a big role in how easy a looper is to use and how many different things you can do with it With a maximum 12 minutes of stereo recording time, the RC-1 is capable of capturing any extended performance that you can create or imagine!
