Under no circumstances should chargers be used which attempt to de-sulphate deep-discharged batteries under 10 volts with a voltage of more than 14.9 volts before they begin the actual charge. The maximum charging voltage of 14.9 volts must never be exceeded. Recommended charging current 1A and maximum charging current 12A. So I went for the same to enable a straight swap. I’ve had one of these on a bike for a few years. A silly thing, but possibly indicative of this is, is that the model number lettering is now in an odd font (the one used by Motobatt usually). It also had another number printed on in a font which just screams “generic cheapo Chinese product). Might be nothing, but if they’ve gone cheap on the terminals and these details, what’s changed that you can’t see?
