About this deal

The Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) delivers fast and quiet AF. The user can utilise full-time manual focus even during autofocus. The lens is well built and feels solid, and the focus and zoom rings rotate smoothly. It’s quite versatile, and you can use it as both a standard and a telephoto lens. The zoom range and contrast aperture guarantee the best optical quality. So, picture quality and sharpness are outstanding for this price. The minimum focusing distance is a decent 13.7 in (35 cm), and when it comes to image quality, the RF 85mm f/2 is superb (even when shooting wide open). Bokeh is smooth and looks great, and there’s minimal distortion and chromatic aberration. Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art is a DSLR telephoto prime lens. It’s a lovely lens that works best for portraits, but it’s also quite versatile, but you can use it for other photography types too. The Art label marks that it’s of the highest quality. In addition, the Sigma 105mm f/4 Art is pin-sharp, has stunning bokeh, and fast autofocus. It’s a fantastic lens that’s well worth the money. So, what makes a lens a macro? To be considered authentic macro lenses, they must have a magnification ratio of at least 1x (1:1). That means the subject you are photographing is, at a minimum, the same size on the camera sensor as it is in real life. If the ratio is greater than 1:1, images will be larger than life, and fine details will be even more visible.

I’m also a big fan of the control ring. This separate ring around the lens allows you to change settings such as ISO or aperture! It also has a super-quiet STM AF motor. While it moves a shade slower through its focusing range than the Nikon AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED, it does this with impressive silence. Only when its Optical Stabiliser is employed does it make a little noise. The 35mm focal length is useful in many situations, so this lens is also a good choice for street, travel, and portrait photography. Of course, the close-focusing capabilities ensure that it can also take great macro shots of flowers, jewelry, food, and even (if they’re tame enough!) insects. The minimum focusing distance is an impressive 6.6 in (17 cm), and the bokeh effect is good, too. Additionally, bokeh quality on the 60mm f/2.8 is fabulous, and although there can be haloing and flare issues when shooting into the light, the overall image quality is far better than you would expect given the lens’s price tag. The 7artisans 60mm f/2.8 Macro might be the best budget macro lens on the market. There’s a lot of buzz about this no-frills lens, and I’m happy to say that it’s a great choice for a dedicated macro fan.Comes with a 9 blade-rounded diaphragm which creates an attractive blur to the out-of-focus areas of the image While lots of lenses with decent close-up capabilities are referred to as macro lenses, there is actually stricter criteria to qualify as one. For a lens to be considered a "true" macro lens, it needs to have at least a 1:1 reproduction ratio, meaning that the subject on the sensor plane is the same as or greater than its size in real life. This is the key to getting those spectacular, frame-filling images of minuscule subjects. It’s well-built and comes with a lens hood, a rear lens cap, a protective case, and a soft pouch. It’s a low-cost lens that is a good choice if you’re looking for circular fisheye lenses. It’s soft at f/3.5, but it gets sharper at f/11-f/16. Although there is some barrel distortion, the colour and contrast are excellent. The image stabilization (IS) in this lens is incredible! It allows you to shoot with up to five stops of difference. This makes the difference between shooting freehand or on a tripod. The Hybrid IS compensates for camera shake during macro shooting. The all-metal build makes the lens very robust but also fairly heavy. There are no fancy electronics here, either, like image stabilization or even autofocus, so the Velvet 85 might not be the best choice for beginners who have never tried manual focusing.

But stop down the Lensbaby Velvet 85, and the glow is gradually replaced by a supreme center sharpness. (Although the glow becomes extremely subtle, it never vanishes completely, even at f/16.) Sigma lenses are popular due to their ease of use, portability and the sharp results which they capture, with a variety of focal widths to choose from. These enable photographers to choose between wide aperture prime lenses for portraits, street and documentary, or versatile zooms which cover ultra wide, standard and telephoto focal widths. The Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro EX DG OS HSM is a high performance, large aperture medium telephoto macro lens that comes with an Optical Stabiliser (OS). The lens helps users to maintain an appropriate distance from the subject of their photos while still being able to take close-up images. It features SLD glass elements that provide fantastic control of aberration as well as a floating inner focus system that allows for high rendering throughout the focusing range. It is a true macro lens with a 1:1 magnification that produces stunning images. Park Cameras offers a comprehensive selection of Sigma glass for leading camera mounts, including Sigma E mount lenses such as the popular Sigma 24-70 F/2.8 DG DN Art lens for Sony. This design is carried over to the Leica L mount, with mirrorless designs appearing ever more frequently for Fujifilm, Sony and MFT cameras.

Image quality and sharpness are excellent although there can be some vignetting and barrel distortion when shooting wide open. As a 'true' macro lens, the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM can focus down to a reproduction ratio of 1:1, meaning that the subject is imaged on the sensor at the same size as it appears in reality. Should you want to increase magnification even further, the lens is also compatible with Sigma's 1.4x and 2x APO teleconverters, which also have the effect of increasing effective focal length. The maximum image reproduction ratio is life-size (1:1), and you can always buy extension tubes to reach 2:1 or 3:1 magnifications. One of the unique features of this 7artisans lens is the retracting hood. The lens barrel itself is 60 mm in diameter, but the front element is smaller and retracts into the lens body. 7artisans created a 39 mm screw-in lens hood to protect this element for travel, and when you focus at macro distances, the lens hood extends from the front of the lens. This is both a nifty fifty and an affordable macro lens with 1:1 magnification - which makes it an attractive option for a Sony user, as it is small and light enough to be something you keep in your camera bag. Unlike the other Sony-fit options, this is also a sensible choice for use with APS-C sensor cameras (such as the Sony A6000 series, or the ZV-E1) - and then offers an effective focal length of 75mm. Be warned that this lens is showing its age in terms of its autofocus performance!
