About this deal

If you are still unsure about the effectiveness of stove fans and thinking the price of them can be quite an investment, we are very pleased to introduce a great little starter fan. It has a retro design reminiscent of the first fans to market from the big brands such as Caframo or Valiant nearly a decade ago. Despite their revisions over the years the retro design of My Stove Fan will in no way affect the efficacy of its main purpose, which is to circulate the hot air around your room. As with many other modern designs, the My Stove Fan is fitted with a bi-metallic strip that bends, and in turn, tilts the fan to protect its motor and Peltier module from overheating; a common problem with all stove fans. If the components within the fan reach above 320 ° Centigrade they will become quite seriously damaged. We suggest you use our SFR stove thermometer if you expect your stove to reach temperatures of 320 ° C or above. The SFR stove thermometer can be placed next to your fan or on the flue pipe as it comes with a screw and wire to secure mounting. This gives you the comfort of knowing how hot your stove is and that your fan is safe from damage. Have you ever wished you had something you could just take straight from the box, put on top of the stove, and then fill the room with much-needed hot air and warmth? That’s what the Sirocco stove fan can do for you.

As for the maker, Hansa has always been an advocate for the environment, and this is mirrored in all the products that they have. To operate on lower temperature stoves the SmartFan LT ranges have a special Peltier module installed that – unfortunately – won’t withstand any temperature above 190 centigrade so they cannot be used interchangeably on all kinds of stoves. Secure the vertical mounting kit using the two screws provided. Don’t forget to remove the countersank screws from the base before mounting the VMT!

Here at Homebuilding.co.uk we like to get our hands dirty and trial as many products as possible, but in the instances where we aren’t able to, such as the best stove fan, we leave no stone unturned to provide you with the crucial information you need to know before buying. There is practically no installation required, so you don’t have to mull over confusing instructions and deal with putting small pieces together. Because it’s so easy to operate and it can fast become a normal part of your household, you’ll soon forget that you have this new stove fan in the first place. More importantly, the Sirocco was designed for silent operation. You don’t have to deal with the noise that you get from a lot of other fans. The best thing you could do is buy a wood stove fan that will enhance the effectiveness of your stove. What Is the Stove Fan?Bigger rooms require stove fans with greater air-moving capacities — something measured in cubic feet per minute (CFM). Therefore, stove fans with a higher CFM will mean you will use less fuel for burning in your stove.

It has very large blades that produce a good volume of airflow, we could feel it from 6ft away (about 1.8m). The blades do give a quiet hum, but it is not intrusive. You can hear it when you are stood next to the fan, but it doesn’t disturb a conversation, the radio or the TV. The most powerful stove fans are those powered by a Stirling engine, like Vulcan or Warpfive – both of which are handmade and British. As IQ Design’s goal was to provide a range of stove fan models to fit nearly every heating stove and their settings, they offer a smaller version of the SmartFan Original, which is the Smartfan Mini and is only 180mm high. As the air inside the fan heats up, the miniature Stirling engine expands, and the piston is thrust upward; as the air cools, the engine contracts and the piston is forced down. This cycle repeats, essentially moving the hot air up and out of the fan and into your home, rather than towards the ceiling.
