About this deal

Doctrines – Unlike every other Marine faction, the Dark Angels have three different super doctrines, one that benefits each different wing of the chapter. Lastly, I could say a thousand more words on Deathwing Knights than what was covered above, but simply put they’re one of the best datasheets in the game and are well worth your time. Add a Captain in Terminator Armour with Adept of the Codex to keep them in Tactical Doctrine when they don’t need to go supersonic, and consider an Ancient in Terminator Armour to bump up their low OC, and go to town. If it’s a tank-busting squad you’re after, look no further than the Eradicators. Each wears reinforced Mark X Gravis armour and can be equipped with a deadly melta rifle or heavy melta rifle as standard. The kit also includes a single multi-melta as an optional upgrade.

Belial..................................................................77 Ravenwing Apothecary.................................103The primary issue here is the cost-benefit analysis for the jet from the Dark Angels’ chapter tactic; unlike the Nephilim, the Dark Talon can hover, so you could conceivably fly it to where you want it to be and, if it survives, have it sit still and start hitting on 2s. The issue here – as with all aircraft and vehicles – is that without CORE the Dark Talon is missing consistency, and brining a Techmarine isn’t a particularly good solution. The mortal wound output is still worth looking at however, particularly in an environment flush with Scarab Occult Terminators, Deathshrouds, and even other Deathwing.

While in Gladius he can advance and charge, and he will absolutely mow down most things he touches, his low wound count and middling resiliency for his points can often leave him on cleanup duty or struggling to cross the board in the face of armies with guns bristling. Definitely a fun unit and one that’s reasonably viable, but not one to expect to see on top tables any time soon. Add Armour of Contempt on top of that and Deathwing Terminators are one of the game’s most durable units – nightmarishly so when you give them an Apothecary. 2nd Company Very Elite Army– Your army is frequently going to rely on expensive, difficult-to-kill units that cost a lot of points and that means your model counts are going to be low, which makes covering large parts of the table difficult.
