Unfortunately there seems to be very little in the way of soft and quiet playing on this instrument - everything seems to be either loud, or very loud. The Donner DEP-20 piano comes with a furniture stand that is convenient for people to practice at home. However, the piano is lightweight and easy on the fingers, which could make it a great choice for kids. This can make playing it a bit awkward - I found that even on a standard X-frame keyboard stand I was having to adjust my stool as high as it could go, and even then it would have been more comfortable a little higher than that. If either of these pianos had some sort of coating on the keys, it would have been a huge point in their favor.

Other than that, the design of the Donner DEP-20 is as you'd expect from other manufacturers - no better or no worse. The sound is optimal, it is good for beginners but also for those who, like me, currently have no room for a more voluminous piano. There is a furniture stand in this product, DEP-20 digital piano with furniture stand is convenient for the people who practice at home or playing indoor. Now, this is still good enough for a beginner, but if you start playing pieces with dense chords that require the sustain pedal, you might start running into some problems.As I have pointed out along the sections of he review, there are many characteristics that impressed me in a big way. Playing the adjustable weighted keys feel great and give good feedback, and all functions and settings are easily accessible. What is the difference between the different models like the dep 20 and ddp 100 - and any other models? I’m not sure if there are different weights to weighted keys, but these are wayyyyy heavier than regular piano keys.

The Donner DEP-20 is not a practice instrument for a concert pianist - it's a beginner or intermediate instrument; perhaps your first step up from a non-weighted keyboard. You've got a clear LCD screen to give you information about which sounds, beats or other options are selected, and you have buttons for everything you need. With that said, the Donner DEP-20 is still a great option with realistic hammer action, just not as good as the action on the Yamaha P-45.Duet Mode is convenient when two players, such as parent and child or teacher and student, practice together as the keys to the left and right of center on the keyboard can be set to the same tonal range. With that said, the Donner DEP-10 is the more portable option, which could be important for some pianists. There are certain settings and functions that need a button and key combo but the helpful feature, that other comparable alternatives lack, is a small display in the middle of the control panel. To figure out which option was the better choice, I decided to directly compare the features of the Yamaha P71 against the Donner DEP-20.
