About this deal

Hi the MTU is set at 1520 on the modem but because the router (a tplink vr2800) will not do 1500 ive set it to 1492 which appiers to be the max it supports. The Vigor 167 is VDSL2 35b and ADSL2+ modem to Ethernet bridge, connecting VDSL or ADSL to your Ethernet-based Router or Firewall. It provides proven compatibility with UK VDSL2 and ADSL2+ networks. The firmware for the Vigor167 is still being developed and DrayTek R&D may add additional CLI commands in the future.

Good result for Modem Code 5.12.18.16. Up over 6 days now- a record for our NBN FTTN connection. So I'll leave the posts there; worth trying this Modem Code. I've been having the same issue recently... I have since upgraded the firmware to Vigor167_v5.1.2_STD The only means of running the second "router" ...with all devices on that having same network as the primary... is to disable the routing and DHCP functions, turning it into a switch. Any wifi features are tied to the switch so nothing to configure there.I am using the same DNS, same router (vigor just set up as a bridge modem, same as the old TP-Link). The chipset is currently not proven on Aust NBN , I could be wrong , but if it performs the same as the Lantiq chipset on the Vigor 130 , then it should be all right and , especially if the Vigor 167 is using super vectoring.

Vigor 167 - DrayTek

Ideal partner device for DrayTek dual-WAN products or any other vendor's Ethernet WAN firewall. Reports DSL Line Status on DrayTek Vigor routers.Although I wonder for if having SOS will be beneficial for me as I'm quite far from my NBN FTTN node and only sync at 25/6 Mbps. Introducing the very latest in the DrayTek Vigor 160 range, the Vigor 167! An ideal alternative to the popular Vigor 130 Modem router, the Vigor 167 offers all the same features and functionalities with 2 Gigabit LAN network ports and a built-in basic router with DCHP server. I have just replaced a Vigor 130 with a Vigor 167 on a FTTN connection. In Sydney. I did this because of the full SOS/ROC/SRA support.

Vigor 130 modems provide BT Superfast Fibre and ADSL2+ capability and feature one LAN port. This is the standard modem design. It should also be noted that with regard to ADSL, both the variants Annex-A and Annex-B are combined in one device for the first time, which also further increases the possibilities for using the modem. When running the tp link theres no noticeable line drops or anything, if anything its better – I think the draytek is being a bit too conservative. Did you know we can configure this item prior to shipment meaning it will automatically work out of the box. Using our TR-069 provisioning platform, we can pre-configure generic and customer specific settings prior to despatch. View more information about our router provisioning. It has support for ADSL (not enabled in this current firmware), VDSL and G.Fast so i think can be considered a all in one replacement for those on VDSL but thinking of going G.Fast if they are not on the list for full fibre (yet). My FTTN connection is terrible so even if there's a slight chance of an improvement in stability/speeds by upgrading the fw... I'll do it. Can i ask what MTU yours set? Also did you make ANY changes at all to your settings when connecting this up? Each DrayTek modem is designed to offer stability and extensive compatibility across internet providers for a seamless online experience. We have two Wi-Fi modem models available, so it’s important to understand the benefits of each and choose the product that best suits your needs: if you open the web console (middle button on the top right next to the floppy disk symbol) and type vdsl status it will tell you the path mode and interleave.
