About this deal

There are a few differences between the different forms of Nurofen that are available for taking by mouth. Nurofen Plus should not be used for more than three days at a time unless on medical advice, in which case the patient should be reviewed regularly with regards to efficacy, risk factors and ongoing need for treatment.

Patients should be followed closely for signs and symptoms of respiratory depression and sedation. Patients and their caregivers should be made aware of these symptoms. Patients and their caregivers should also be informed of the potential harms of consuming alcohol while taking Nurofen Plus.

Do not give Nurofen Plus to children under 12 years or to those aged 12 -18 years in whom respiratory function may be compromised.Call your doctor straight away or go straight to the Emergency Department at your nearest hospital if you notice any of the following side effects; asthma, wheezing or shortness of breath, swelling of the face, lips or tongue which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing, hives, itching or skin rash, fainting.
