Umarex Picatinny Mounted Laser Sight - Laser Sights | Pellpax

For someone getting into long-range shooting, this is a great starter rangefinder scope. The LRF isn’t anything to write home about but it will work for when you start reaching outside 100 yards. The Holosun LS117 has a 0.5nw collimated red laser pointer for close-quarter combat that can reach up to 25 yards and more if you’re in low-light conditions. When LRFs first hit the market, they were separate handheld devices. Now they are being built straight into the optics. But, as an alternative if you know the size of your target, you can calculate range in a any scope with the right reticle. My wife and I in our 70’s. We chose the EBR 2C reticle in MOA offered by Vortex. It took 30 minutes for me to teach her how to range targets of a known or approxment size. We have the same retical on our 22’s and we use them for ranging practice or scope drills if you will. ReplyThere are seven reticle options and a whopping magnification of X5 to X50. It also comes with the video recording and Wi-fi features and is compatible with androids. The SL-150 Ultra-Mag features an ultra-bright red 635mm laser for better visibility in bright, ambient light conditions, while the SL-500 Ultra-Mag uses a super-bright green laser for maximum visibility of the sighting dot in daylight and very bright ambient light. I use a 6.5 RPR in combinations with a long shot target camera system a Sig range finder and a 5700 Kestrel elite shooting bench rest long range paper targets in the hills of SW Arizona. I use a Vortex Razor scope. Between October and May I go 3 to 5 times a week. It is only 7 miles from the house but pretty gnarly to get to. I set up a canopy then the target then the shooting table take the distance ( I know that usually) then the long shot receiver then deal with the kestrel and set it up with the wind vane and on a tripod. Shooting pretty much any distance below 1 MOA but not quite to the abilities of the rifle but that is probably I. I am thinking of changing to a night force competition 15/55/50. I am also thinking of giving one of those new auto scopes a try. What do you think. Sincerely, Hans H. Huyer Reply As you age, your eyesight inevitably weakens. Older shooters don’t have to struggle with standard gun sights. A laser is much easier to see.

It is a little less bulky, but it’s still big. The overall length comes in at 13 inches and the weight comes in at 1.63 lbs.

The iron sights on subcompacts and compacts are small — not easy to see in daylight and virtually impossible in the dark. Lasers offer the ideal solution. Of course, not all firearms have these so-called “universal” rails. There are a couple of additional mount options for handguns which, although more model-specific, are still widespread. The Mini Universal Kit includes the laser unit with a 650-nanometer red laser, integral bore spud, and four inserts to fit any handgun or rifle up to .50 caliber. It uses 3 inexpensive 393 batteries and comes with adjustable Delrin adapters, mounting screws, a hex wrench, a daylight laser target, and complete instructions. It’s pretty easy to install, and the windage and elevation adjustment buttons are easy to manipulate. What’s more, its on/off button is ambidextrous, which makes it a very convenient choice for most. A. Okay, first off, you should never shine any type of laser in the eyes of people or animals. Even if it doesn’t cause permanent harm, it’s very unpleasant.

This is an easy to use system that also comes with a built-in inclinometer for shooting up or down hills. This laser mount from Umarex is designed to fit on Picatinny rails and provides a strong and bright laser to assist with target acquisition on your pistol or rifle. In the laser sight business, Crimson Trace are well-known for their pistol laser CMR-206 and CMR-204 models, but I believe that the Crimson Trace CMR-301 Railmaster Pro is where it’s at. The Holosun LS117 has all the standard features of a good laser sight like an IP67 water resistance rating, extreme weather resistance from -40 to 124 Fahrenheit, a QD release Picatinny rail mount, a remote cable switch for easy activation, and high/low brightness settings.
