One thing to consider if fitting flat on the floor is whether you can stop things falling down inside the vent such as sand or mud etc. Next is because they are a restricted 5KW heater this means that they work with all of the good LCD control panels and remotes and is actually supplied with one of the best options on the market at the moment. The heaters passed their safety checks - its the poorly translated and very basic installation instructions that was the safety concern. I have had to turn it off once due to it getting too hot in here once, the sun was out and heating the van up.

The next heater is just like the heater above in every way except when it comes down to the controller and remote, this unit comes with the awesome new blue style controller and a remote with a build in LCD screen so you can see if what you are pressing is doing anything.I am really pleased with how fast it gets the temperature back up in the van and caravan after turn on. The major advantage of this positioning is that it doesn’t use any of your valuable space internally and is nicely out of the way. One thing I would always recommend around any fuel burning appliances is a carbon monoxide alarm just to be on the safe side. The 5KW in my van cab pumps out a LOT more heat on the lowest setting and would have been too much for my caravan.This fear turned out to be unfounded as once the cushions were back on it is actually quieter than the blower in my Truma gas/electric heater. That does not allow for it going lower during the day if the sun is out and any switching off you may do.
