Months later, their pull towards each other was stronger than ever. They finally caved into their desires. The smut was top tier and so so hot. The alleyway, London eye, private jet scenes lived rent free in my head. Grayson.. sir 🙇🏻‍♀️ Talk about a man STARVED. His love and obsession for Maddie is absolutely *wow*. The smut here? Yah, just thank me later. I loved how obsessed he was with her and how he went above and beyond for her.

This book definitely had potential and as I believe it’s this authors first release(?) I really think the author has a great baseline for a series. I’m not going to rate it star wise because honestly my feelings are all over the place but I wanted to at least add what I liked and didn’t like. During the day: If you have a flexible schedule, you may find it helpful to take breaks during the day to read a book. Distance by Luna Mason is a beautifully written romance novel that will keep you captivated from start to finish. The characters are well-developed, and their chemistry is palpable. The author does an excellent job of creating tension and suspense, and the plot twists keep you on the edge of your seat. Maddie was a successful makeup artist. Not only was her mom not supportive of her career, she was also pressured to get married before her childbearing days were over. She went on many dates in search of a husband, yet no one gave her butterflies like Grayson did. Before bedtime: Many people find that reading before bedtime helps them unwind and relax, which can promote better sleep.

Two, our FMC has zero personality. Like absolutely none. There is no substance to her. She lives in this fantasy world where her entire personality is just wanting to fall in love and have a happily ever after. It's so cringe. And then multiple times in the book she acts completely out of character, for no reason. Like the situation with the ex? Wtf was that??? Third, there were so many instances where I either thought something was going to add to the plot, or there were random things thrown in that literally did nothing to the plot and I'm like, why is this happening??? Like the Gregory situation, I thought it was gonna be so much more. Like maybe he'd become a stalker, or wouldn't take no for an answer and seek some revenge. Nope. Literally nothing. Then the ex wife? What the hell was even the point of that? It added nothing to the plot and then our FMC acts completely out of character. Just so many wtf moments. Distance by Luna Mason is a romantic novel that tells the story of two individuals, Keller and Sienna, who come from different worlds and are drawn together by fate. Keller is a former underground street fighter who rose to fame as the world heavyweight boxing champion but is also a monster who hunts in the shadows. He is trapped in the mafia until his debts are paid, and his freedom is tied to a simple deal – unifying his belts. This book is basically just pure smut. There is sooooooo much and since there is no real plot, I just felt like I was reading for the smut. Like it was good, but by the end it got cringe for me and super repetitive.

This book was different than Distance, as I felt like it was more focused on their relationship with each other and less on the MMA or Mafia ties. The plot is missing a lot, little scattered. If you want smut though, this is your book. Maddie’s character development is definitely there, as she struggled with being a people pleaser despite her sassy efforts. At least 50% of the sex scenes could have been cut and there would have still been plenty of spice. They felt like filler to get to a word count and IMO all that space could have been used to flesh out other parts of the story. I could not blame him in some occasions when he was pushing Maddie away but he denied himself real happiness for so long because of it.....however, once he gave in, he was ALL in. Yes, they had their moments where things were bumpy, but their love was there, and it was all worth it.Ok, I really liked the first book in this series, but this book? This book was so freaking different I could swear it was a different author! Like what in the hell. It was VERY instant love. While I liked Sienna’s personality and admired how she had always taken care of herself, she also had potential, what we really needed to see was her being stronger. After being cheated on and stalked, she should’ve had Keller do WAAAAAAAAAY more groveling especially at the end. I’m talking Alex Volkov type grovel. Iykyk. If you’re going to have a hero do something so disgusting then you better make the grovel worth it and to me it was super sub par. Sienna really needed to show that strength and make him work for it.

The book had a lot of subplots. There were action, mafia operations, Maddie’s clash with her mother, and some other interesting stuff, unfolding one after the other or concurrently. There wasn’t as much sport as I thought it would be and I don’t consider the book as mafia x sport, since the sports mentions are very brief. I also feel like sometimes the plot or the writing was a bit rushed and that there were some loose ends but generally this was a fun read. Distance is a modern masterpiece, a powerful novel that can be read on its own. This novel is written by Luna Mason. She is a true storyteller, and Distance is her best book. It is an epic tale of family, secrets, loss, marriage, betrayal, friendships, laughter, and regrets. Distance is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made readers love them, they made readers sad, they made readers angry, they made readers laugh, they made readers cry, and they made readers believe in the promise of love and home.Early morning: Some people find that reading in the morning helps them start their day with a positive and productive mindset. Characters As my rating indicates, this wasn’t for me. It got 2 stars because I finished it and didn’t immediately rant to anyone about it being a complete waste of time. Maddie was very much into the fairytale love and has been searching for years for the right man for her🤴only to FINALLY realise she doesn’t actually want a prince she wants the monster😈 maddie had a bad relationship with her mum who would just try and push her into doing everything her mums way and would always criticise her looks or just the way she is🙄 but Grayson never let us down, he knows how women should be treated👸 he was willing to sacrifice everything just for her to be happy🥹🥰

Well that was something, what a rollercoaster🎢 everything just went off all at once I didn’t know what to do with myself😂 While I was reading Distance, I could not help but desperately wish that Maddie and Grayson's story would come out the very next day. These two had me in a chokehold the entire time, they were the definition of angst whenever they interacted, and their book was everything it should have been. I understand that she’s a UK author, but if the book is set in America the characters should sound American, not English (Sienna is the obvious exception). From a poor underground street fighter, I rose to fame as the world heavyweight boxing champion. No one knew I was also a monster who hunted in the shadows. There were a lot of issues with the book that pulled me out of the story. It needed more time in a editor’s hands. There were a lot of typos/missed words/issues with tense. She used the phrase “blood curling” to describe a scream. The phrase is “blood curdling”. Things like that drive me up a wall.Luna Mason is a talented author with a passion for writing romance novels.
