About this deal

To me, the shells are on the medium size which fit me perfecly. Its smooth shell didn't give my ears any painful spot even after several hours of wearing them

Can't decide between these 2. Im looking for some fun sound signature with good bass without being muddy. You could say they both have a w-profile, although they are different. The Blons have a more extended tendency towards sub-bass, with peaks throughout the range being more boomy. The HBB Khan, apart from the bass hump, are smoother and more homogeneous. This is starting to turn into a book, so lets end this review by saying the bass on the Khan is not going to rattle out your fillings its not going to blow your head off, what it will do is allow the bass to get the attention it deserves and it will do this without sacrificing the vocals or the high end. There is a lot of competition out there lately in this price range, with me preferring a lot of other models over these, yet I cannot deny that if you are looking for a bassy set of IEMs on a very low budget, the QKZx HBB have a lot to offer.Soundstage is around average I guess, nothing spectacular going on, and I would say that image placement is about the same. Things are place well enough but they are not milimetric, not that I think that is something that should be a factor in such a tuned IEM. However, in spite of the fact that the overall mids presentation is recessed and the violin sounds weak to no emotion at all, the overall sound is acceptable for an overall warm, V shape sound. This bass will have a heavy noteweight and will benefit male vocals, whereas the female vocals might sound weak because of the bass.

In the highs, you receive the thinnest bite to the sound signature. There’s a splash to certain sounds, and the response rings out to add character to the HBB’s profile. The response is expressive but never too bright, and the timbre of the notes never appears harsh. Its tone is smooth but with the right amount of extra detail that adds height to the sound signature and expands immersion. As my second pair of V-shaped IEMs next to my TRN ST1, the QKZ x HBB impressed me with its sound separation and imaging. Installing the cable is simple enough with the pre-molded ear hooks that go over the ears and L/R indicators helping identify what goes where. Push the cable connectors into the IEM connectors as seen above until you see the external sleeve on the cable slide go over the IEM protrusions to form a more cohesive single unit.The sound quality is really good. one of the better tunes IEM (Bass, SubBass, Mids, Treble) similar level to truthear x circle 0
