The Jabra Evolve2 75 uses 8 strategically placed microphones, 4 of which are used when Active Noise Cancellation is on. I was waiting for the introduction of the Evolve2 75 with great anticipation. I was curious to know what kind of updates it would come with. To say that I’ve been impressed would be putting it lightly. This is a major overhaul from the former Evolve 75 not only in appearance, but in performance and technology. Just when you thought Jabra had introduced enough new headsets, they threw another one into the mix to put smiles on our faces.

While you can use the left ear cup button to toggle between sound modes, you can also do this in the Moments section of the smartphone app. Battery percentage is also shown in the smartphone app. Daily usage experiences and conclusion computers, mobile phones and tablets for example, that are Bluetooth enabled. The Evolve2 75 uses Bluetooth 5.2, which at this time is the latest version.

SPECIFICATIES

When your battery is in need of recharging, you have the option of plugging in the included 3.9 foot USB cable to recharge the headset. While recharging, you can continue using the headset in wired mode. The microphones used in the Evolve2 75 are noise cancelling. This is something you’d expect on any wireless headset today, so no surprise here. Battery life Weight is one element of comfort. There are others such as design, headbands and ear cushions. When you take all of these things into consideration, you come away with a headset that might be considered comfortable, somewhat comfortable, or maybe even uncomfortable.

I very much like this headset not only because it looks modern and well-built, but because it has some very attractive and useful technology features that users of this headset will find very beneficial.Given its popularity, features and professional sound, how can that be improved on? Well, I’m here to say that Jabra did just that. They took a highly popular wireless headset and made it even better. All of these Apps allow you to customize your headset so it performs the way you want, as well as allowing you to manage a single headset or a team.

Speaking of the microphone boom, Jabra engineered the mic boom used on the Evolve2 75 to be 33% shorter than the boom used on the Evolve 75. If you were to ask a group of people whether they preferred a boom arm that’s longer or shorter, I’m pretty sure most would answer shorter. New busylight is now four times more visible, protecting you from all directions and all interruptions. 1 Outstanding battery life. This new chipset is not only faster, so your commands are executed faster, but it’s also more powerful over any other chipset Jabra’s ever used, and finally, it’s far more intelligent. Wireless range Soft memory foam molds to your ears’ natural contours, for incredible all-day comfort. Superior noise isolating design. We applaud Jabra for recognizing this, and shortening the boom. I wish more manufacturers would understand this as well.

ANC is a handy feature that allows the headset wearer to regulate how much of the room noise is heard. Whether you’re contending with the sounds of babies crying, dogs barking or coworkers talking, ANC allows you to have control over what you hear. Most wireless headsets are just that, wireless. In other words, they can only be used as a wireless headset. However, one of the changes that’s taken place recently is wireless headsets that can also be used as a wired headset. One major reason I like the Evolve2 75 better than the 85 is the lighter weight with on-ear design. The ear cushions use a new dual-foam technology that make them comfortable to wear for many hours straight. The ear cushion design also impacts the noise isolation and ANC performance. This makes your busy status more visible over the previous version. Also, when you’re on a Team's call, the light moves to purple rather than red. This is to notify those around you that you’re on a Teams call. The Jabra Evolve2 75 has smart sensors that detect when the headset is on, and when it’s off. I’ll go over many of its features, and I’ll of course test the microphones and speakers to see how this new wireless headset sounds. And without a doubt, no test would be complete if I didn’t put it up against some annoying sounds like loud office noise, dogs barking and yes, even the dreaded blender test to see how it does to eliminate these unwanted sounds.

If you use Microsoft Teams regularly, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a version of this headset that’s designed for Teams. It includes a Teams button that allows you to access Teams immediately. And, for those who aren’t Microsoft Teams power users, there’s a UC variant that will still work with Teams, but better suited for those who spend more time on other Apps. There’s a more visible busy light that has two LEDs on each side. The Jabra Evolve2 75 has a feature called HearThrough. This feature allows you to have a conversation with someone in your work environment, or just hear what’s going on around you without the need to remove the headset. Based on the fit, finish and features, I’d say that this headset is priced very reasonably given everything it offers. Final thoughts Today, we’re seeing a feature that’s becoming more common in wireless headsets. This is a feature referred to as Active Noise Cancellation, or ANC for short.

Why is weight important? If you consider that this is a device that’s worn over the head for many hours a day, it makes sense that you’d want this device to be as lightweight as possible. For a long time, the Jabra Evolve 75 has been a fan favorite, and for a lot of very good reasons. The Evolve 75 is feature rich, comfortable, and has that professional sound you’ve come to expect from a Jabra headset.
