A somehow-super-powerful girl who turns out to not only be fae glamoured as human but is also the lost heir to a whole kingdom It was quite refreshing that the characters were quite diverse as well as inclusive. One of the side characters doesn’t identify as male or female (gender fluid??) which made it interesting to see how Remy would interact with them as it was a completely new concept for her. The secondary characters were brilliant and added depth and richness to the overall story. Although I will say, don’t get too attached cause not all of them make it to the last chapter (Ali, I’m low-key feeling betrayed here…I trusted you!). This is one of those under the radar books that go unnoticed but have the potential of gaining a larger audience.

She/they are inspired to create diverse stories that transport readers to new realms, making them fall in love with fantasy for the first time, or, all over again.

The tension and slow burn of their relationship also had me losing my mind. I couldn’t stop reading; I just needed them to fall in love. But the buildup—and the peak—is truly worth the wait. I'm not going to lie, I balled my eyes out during this book, against my will, and I even tried to not cry, but god damn, especially towards the end. All of these characters have wormed their way into my frozen heart and are here to stay.

This book focuses on one of the famed Golden Eagles, Briata Cattulus. After receiving a plea of help from her friend Delta in the Western Court, Bri races to their aid. I have no idea where to start with this review. This has officially become one of my favorite books. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. Can't wait to continue the series with the fourth volume following Talhan and Neelo.A great mix of magic, adventure, action and romance. Expression is my favorite thing in this world. All directions and colors are represented and there are no barriers. You love who you love and no one bats an eyelid.Buri is asked for help by her friend and lover Delta. Delta is badly injured when Buri arrives and she needs help to protect the new heiress of the West, Princess Avalina. WONDERFUL representation in the book; with both queer and POC sprinkled throughout the series. I always wondered why there aren't more queer fae in the fantasy genre. They're supposedly immortal beings, don't you think if a being lived for so long they would be more fluid with their sexuality and gender? So I'm glad the author gave us that A great and powerful third book that really brought out a great plot and romance. This a sapphic romance filled with daggers and axes 🥰😍 who could’ve asked for something better?! Oh right, it’s also a bodyguard romance 👀

The magic system was thought out and the world building was balanced but I was definitely wishing this had more and I hope we get to see more in depth looks into both in the next book. I'm also hoping very much the author will go into some genealogy with relation to certain powers to answer questions I'm sure many others had. I LOVED this book and it was the perfect one for getting me out of my reading slump. 𝙁𝙖𝙚, 𝙍𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙮, 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨, 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘, 𝙈𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙋𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙨, 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨, 𝙎𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙣 𝙍𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨, you name it and the book has it! The biggest reason for that is that it feels rushed. You know how when you're summarizing a book you might gloss over the less important parts? It kind of feels like the entire book was glossed over, especially the beginning. Their journey was waaaay too fast. We could have had more scenes where they all just get to know each other, maybe Heather teaches Remy about some plants, someone tells a story, maybe they have to go the long way around cause they spot some Northern soldiers in their path. The High Mountain Court thrusts us into a fantastical world of witches, magic, Fae, and warring Courts.
