While Jessica, Carlton, and Marla were able to rescue most of the kidnapped children, one boy was captured by Funtime Foxy/Mangle and brought to William. Running out of time and low on options, William injected a glowing liquid from the endoskeleton into Carlton, who stayed behind to save the boy and put an end to Afton. Unaware that the injection didn't kill Carlton and instead enabled him to talk to the souls of Afton's victims, which are revealed to be still inside of the amalgamated endoskeletons, a disappointed William turned to the cornered kid. He gleefully tells the boy that even if this next experiment is another failure, at least "it will be fun; like old times". Later, Marla and Carlton go to Circus Baby's Pizza, when they come in, they see children which turn on to be the Baby Crawlers playing on the monkey bars. The protagonist of The Silver Eyes and The Twisted Ones, she was killed by William at Fredbear's Family Diner, while her and her twin brother were hiding in one of the closets playing with costumes. Marla first appears in Chapter 2, she is at Carlton's house, along with Jessica and Carlton. By the time John arrives, they are excited that he came. The group then starts to talk about Charlie, and how she's different lately. In The Fourth Closet, once he escaped from the Spring Bonnie suit, William began to regain his sanity, which in turn made him feel that he doesn’t need to be inconspicuous due to his state of condition. He is miserable, commanding and impatient, yet he still remains to be theatrical, even when he is in pain. Considering the fact that his organic, human body is full of mechanical parts, William seemingly has a tolerance for pain, as he continues to commit scientific experiments, seeking to replicate immortality in the form of a substance called remnant.

William Afton was one of the founders of Fazbear Entertainment, and unlike his other iterations, was well known for his murders. He committed several murders while wearing the Spring Bonnie suit, including that of Andrew and Susie as well. He was eventually caught in a horrific fire, but Andrew attached his soul to him, to anchor him to life so he could suffer. When they return to the ruins of Freddy Fazbear's, Charlie and Jessica find Afton's rotting corpse inside of the Spring Bonnie costume, stuffed inside of a small closet, by the animatronics after dragging him off a year ago. Disgusted and convinced he was dead, they leave. Later, Twisted Wolf and Twisted Freddy surrounded Charlie, John, Jessica, and Clay Burke. Charlie asked the animatronics "What do you want from me?", and William, undead and still inside the rabbit costume, replies that he was the one who brought them there. John drives Charlie to the abandoned diner in New Harmony, and she remembers the day her brother Sammy was abducted by someone in a Bonnie costume, which led to the diner going out of business and Charlie's parents divorcing. She suspects that Sammy's abduction and Michael's murder are connected. Due to the many similarities between the novels and the games, it's implied that William Afton's appearance in the novels could be his true appearance in the games. When they reach the exit, Funtime Foxy is near, so Jessica decides to distract it and go for her. She tells the other four to go out. Jessica takes the device out, and the fox starts chasing her through the pizzeria. After Jessica manages to defeat Funtime Foxy and the Baby Crawlers. Marla, Jessica and the three kids leave. The day after, Marla, Jessica, John, and Clay are in the hospital, near Carlton's side as he is recovering from his near-death injury.In The Silver Eyes, Marla is a teenage girl who is described to have dark brown hair, as well as wearing a loose dark red blouse. From there, the Marionette was able to make the animatronic parts free themselves from the salvaged fusion, forcing the Miscreation to tear itself apart. Afton screams as his form dissipates, and the broken body of trash fell into the water. Afton, alongside the Marionette and the other animatronic parts, sank into the bottom of the lake never to be seen again. Larson lived, as the Stitchwraith (now solely possessed by Jake) used its energy to burn away at the detective's wound, removing the last remains of Afton's infection. The serial killer has finally been put down, for good. Later Marla and Carlton go to rescue Jessica and the three kids. Marla shoves the illusionary device into Jessica's ear, as Carlton goes to find the taken kid. Marla, Jessica, and the three kids run to the exit, however they are being chased by Funtime Foxy. Marla and Jessica try to fend the fox off from harming the kids. Golden Freddy is a far more benevolent character in the novel than in the game series, acting as a guide to the main characters. Sometime before the events of Fetch, William remains anchored to Andrew without his knowledge for a long time, up until the point where Andrew possessed an animatronic dog named Fetch. This dog eventually ended up in the possession of Phineas Taggart, a scientist that studied human emotion and its power. One day, the broken-down Fetch animatronic, a three-foot-tall doll and an animatronic endoskeleton were used in Phineas' experiments, the three objects put together to form a being that had agony soaked in from several other miscellaneous objects from his collection. This being comes to life and kills the doctor.

He reunites with his childhood friends Jessica, Charlotte, and Carlton, and they decide to revisit the place where Michael died: Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a family restaurant Charlie's father once owned, now an incomplete shopping mall has been built in the restaurant's place, but upon further investigation the friends discover the restaurant is still standing, and the mall has been built around it. years later, his parents decided to commemorate the anniversary of this tragedy, leaving a scholarship dedicated to Michael. It reminded me of Stephen King’s IT both in tale as well as ambience, in that ten years later the characters are coming together to review what happened when they were children. I was tense virtually the entire way with, as the details of what happened are gradually introduced. Not all of the personalities feel expanded, yet the ones we invest the most time with are rather well created. Every one of the characters feel genuine, as if they’re colleagues. Even the animatronics are defined in such as means as to make them appear as if they have some personality themselves, and make you question whether they’re in fact alive or not. Afterwards, John confesses to Charlie that he remembers seeing a strange person in a yellow Freddy costume at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on the day of Michael's death, and he now suspects this person was Michael's killer. As the robots drag William's corpse away, Chief Burke escorts everyone out of the mall. The friends go their separate ways, and before leaving Hurricane. Jessica first appears in Chapter 1, where she is driving her car, she then sees John, and asks him if he can meet up with her and the group at Carlton's house. John reluctantly accepts, and Jessica drives away.
