About this deal

Kenzo Amour, introduced in 2006, is an enduring fragrance that seamlessly blends musky and floral notes. I was looking for something that worked with blouses and pencil skirts, but carried a feminine floral quality to it. Its NOT an alluring scent, it kind of gives you a clean airy 5cm sillage barrier around people lol - I think this perfume projects that you are on a higher social status compared to whoever you’re around, possibly the unfamiliarity with the hawthorn, combined with the makeupy scent that kinda says “I’ve got quality makeup on”. More than enough, I think, for people to get a whiff of it as you pass them by and leave an impression.

This more intense addition to the FLOWER BY KENZO range reveals every aspect of the FLOWER BY KENZO woman: a poetic activist. An unusual riff on a powdery floral that features violet prominently, Flower is a pretty decent, creative floral scent, ideal for transeasonal daytime wear. I can understand that whoever loves its scent or that feeling considers it an excellent perfume, but for me in terms of aroma it is not, although in terms of performance it was great because it lasted many hours and projected a lot. Please note that this is not produced by Coty (which in my opinion, has ruined many perfumes), but by LVMH group (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy). Kenzo Flower is one of its iconic perfumes, showcasing the brand's commitment to capturing the beauty of the natural world.After a while, the scent becomes more and more powdery and soft, but without losing the impression of cleanliness. Finally, the incense imparts a touch of mystique, resonating with spirituality and serenity, bringing the entire perfume journey full circle. A vibrant hint of Pink Pepper presents the sensuality of Damascena Rose, swathed in Vanilla and White Musk.

I don't remember well when was the last time I smell it but up to this day I close my eyes and when I remember Kenzo, I remember those pasionate and intense nights in the tropics. To my nose, the powdery aspect differs from iris or orris notes - but I can't adequately characterize it, less prominent perhaps? Since Kenzo loved poppies, she and creative director Patrick Guedj envisioned that flower as a red poppy, a flower that — you guessed it — has no scent.I'm not ashamed to admit my love for classic powdery florals with notes of iris or violet - but this is not your average powdery perfume. Saffron, the most precious pistil, infuses a vibrant bouquet of Orange Blossom and Damascena Rose Absolute. EDIT 2: Second day, don't know if it's the weather but now I can feel the powder and I'm officially starting to love Flower. Flower is the headiest, muskiest powderbomb I've found yet -- it truly smells like you've slathered yourself in luxe baby powder *and* baby oil. Up to this day, if you ask an ex-lover or my mom what was the perfume associate with me in my twenties back in Caracas, Venezuela, will be Flower by Kenzo.

It's crazy how perfume interest can change throughout years, even the most nostalgic scent like this one.Well, I tried to, but it wouldn’t spray out and dribbled down the tube onto my fingers and so I smeared it onto my wrist instead. After a few minutes the powder softens into more of a face powder/lipstick scent with vanilla and incense in the background; the rose and violet are still very present and in your face. I’m not surprised that it is an Alberto Morillas creation - lovely, clear Bulgarian rose and masterful blending give it a transparent quality.

Opening of baby bubblebath, palma violets and icing sugar which, despite its innocence, somehow lends itself to being a reasonably sophisticated womanly scent. Yet now I find myself with a warm baby nestled into me and this soft, cakey make-up powder (slightly rose, slightly violet, slightly vanilla/opoponax sweet) wafting around me with a touch of incense as well, and I can’t say that I’m annoyed at all. I really wanted to try this because of the parma violets and incense notes but unfortunately, all I could smell was a soapy rose and I'm not a fan of rose. I asked four other people who know nothing about perfume, and they literally think that it's the same.The musk adds an animalic note, introducing a dimension of depth and sensuality, while the vanilla is sweet, comforting, and inviting. Finally I’m in my bedroom , I couldn’t find pijamas and I feel the relief ( head to toe) from white clean bamboo and beige chenille sheets. This is a pretty fragrance for sure, and while definitely of its time, I think it still holds up today. Such a weird experience, never had a fragrance conquer my heart with time, I usually like or dislike them at the spot.
